Good replacement
The reverse safety feature kept cutting out on my Cub Cadet XT1. My research showed that this switch can be faulty. It was a bit fiddly to install, I had to remove the steering wheel and cowling to reach underneath and release the tabs. You can normally do this from above without removing the cowling but the tabs on my switch were bent over so I had to push it from below. Once it was removed, it was a straight forward swop for the original. You have to undo a clip on the wiring harness to get some slack to connect the new switch but that was easy enough. Once it was all back together, everything worked perfectly. Iโm very pleased with this purchase.

The OEM has the button for reverse blade engagement. In this switch blades wonโt work at all unless you press it.

Solved my problem!
My mower wouldn't turn over. Replacing this was quick and easy and got me going again. The triangular safety over ride switch that you must press before you can go backward with the blade engaged - doesn't work / isn't required. I no longer need to press the button, I just drive backwards as if I had pressed it - and that's fine. I always thought it was an overcautious PITA anyway
