Works great on a lift, when we purchased our lift it didn’t come with the mirrors as they had been broken off by the previous owner and these well these are the same that should have been on it and thank goodness we found them, perfect size, good quality and can see really nice out of them all the way around.

I purchased this so I could see around a corner in my dog run so I would always be able to see what my dogs were doing if I wanted to. My puppy learned that if I walked her to the dog door and told her to potty, she could run outside and go around the corner, come back in and get a treat. I was starting to think she was cheating when she started going out more than usual, and always hooked immediately around the corner, and I was right! Thanks to this mirror she now only gets treats when she actually pees! I originally mounted it on the opposite side of the run (12 feet from the door) but this was too far to see them very well in the mirror. Next I mounted it at an angle about 2.5 feet from the door and this is perfect. I can now see every corner of their run without having to go outside. In summary, this is a good product if you are going to be fairly close to the mirror.

Although these are "truck" mirrors, I find them perfect for home security purposes too. I had been using the larger, more expensive ones (at about 3x the cost of these). Now I realize I can get the same field of view with these. They can also be mounted with flat strips of metal that can be purchased at Lowe's, Home Depot, or just about anywhere. These are strips of flexible metal, about 1" wide, with differing lengths (3', 4', 6'). The entire length of these strips have holes in them. This makes it much easier to mount because you can put in your mounting screws anywhere, cut the length you need, and most important, it's easy to bend/twist the metal strip to get the proper angle to optimum viewing. I have one mounting outside my front door so I can look through the peep hole and see if any packages have been left on our front porch. I have another mounted next to where we have our garbage bin - if someone is hiding behind a nearby bush the convex mirror will detect them. I have a 3rd mounted at the end of our carport so when we pull in we could see if there is anyone hiding around that corner of our house. I prefer the mirrors with the chrome backing because sometimes that's the side people would see and the chrome seems less noticeable. Please note: we do not live in a high crime area, I just rather be prepared. I think if potential thieves, muggers saw things like this they might decide to pick on the little old lady next door - bless her heart, well she should have taken that hand to hand combat class instead of that silly knitting course!

I installed this (bolted this on a one-inch squeeze clamp) on my compact tractor for when I am driving on the road so I can see approaching cars from the rear. Works great, wish I'd thought of this years ago.

Purchased these to replace the rusted out 8" mirrors on my 1993 Ford Aeromax Dump Truck. Works like any convex mirror should. Produces a good field of view to help eliminate that huge blind spot. The constriction and price are definitely better than the mirrors I found in my big name local parts stores (with the exception of the ones at the local NAPA store, but the price was nearly 3 times as much). Summary: - Shiny, 8.5" Round Convex Mirror that reflects images and provides a wide field of view. - Yes, I would buy/order these mirrors again (Actually ordered a spare based on other reviews) - No, I do not feel like I wasted my money - Yes, I would recommend this product to a friend - No, I was not compensated in any way to share my opinion (Some people just like to give their opinion, even if you don't ask me for it) - Yes, I really do think this is a great product for the money
