Will this work with flask hot water or will I need a kettle?

Hi yeah it works with flask hot water perfectly. I recently had a road trip to France and took my hot water in a flask to use with mine 👍🏼

Can you make any coffee with this or just espresso?

The machine pumps water through the coffee capsule, so it automatically makes an espresso, but you could make a longer drink out of it - up to you. Hope that helps.
