Breathless

I have been a fan of Phil Perry since the early seventies and his incredible voice is still one of the best there is. This is a lovely album, well up to his usual standard. Every track is first rate, just a personal choice which you like best. Every time I listen to it more subtleties come out. The cover of 'One less bell to answer' reminds me how much I loved the track all those years ago, and Phil brings out the sentiment to perfection. 'Love's in need of love today' is wonderfully jazzy and layered, better with every play. I hope there will be many more albums to come.
