How long will it run on max white output before throttling down? I read a review that said less than eight minutes, then drops off to ~500. :-(

At an ambient temperature of 72 degrees with a fully charged battery I ran mine for 35 minutes at which point I terminated the test. On full output the light was warm to the touch after 20 minutes. It appeared to have lost some brilliance but was still at a high output that covers any of my needs. I am extremely pleased with mine and the unit is easy to use with simple controls. A twist switch allows you to choose the level of brightness easily.

Does it remembers its last brightest and color settings?

Aloha! First off it is operated by 2 turn dials, 1 to turn it on and to turn to desired brightness, the 2nd dial is to set the kelvin (warmth/cool). That being said only the kelvin can be set to what you want, as long as you don't inadvertently turn that knob/dial then it will remain the same. Since you always have to turn the brightness/on/off dial you can't save the brightness.

Can you use it indoors?

Yes light output is adjustable so not too bright in smaller spaces. Magnetic base and stand works well, but the tripod mount already in the bottom is even better.
