David Attenborough: The 3D Collection (Blu-ray 3D)

Stunning cinematography, breathtaking 3d shots, enchanting narration.For me, David Attenborough is THE voice of nature documentaries. His delivery, honed over decades, is perfect as always, and his expertise and passion for the natural world shines though in every word. The content never once fails to match the incredible quality of the visuals.These films alone are worth buying a 3d tv for, and shows the full potential of the medium. Forget Avatar or Gravity - this is the real demo disc to wow your friends and neighbours with.

I ordered this video collection from the states as it is not available here. I am a huge fan of 3D and wanted to add these to my collection. I had read that contrarary to the product description these 3D discs play region free and I'm happy to say this is true. I have been enjoying these high quality productions in my region 1 player all week. As is to be expected Mr. Attenborough's presentations are of the highest quality and contain amazing 3D photography. I highly recommend this series to anyone who enjoys nature programing and quality 3D. The 3D is so good in these shows that I'm sure it would make converts of many people who profess to not enjoy 3D. See them in 3D if you can.

Great 3d - Evolution is a religion not science so I prefer to watch this with the volume off and some relaxing music playing instead, I don't wanna watch any nature show if the commentary is religious, don't wanna hear him state things as if they're verifiable facts, such and such happened millions of years ago etc that's faith not science, no one can prove evolution or the big bang no one was around then, like christianity, hinduism etc it's a religion don't wanna hear that or any other religious beliefs whilst watching, it was around long before Charles Darwin and came out of the mystery schools, this is not conjecture but a fact, maybe it's true but there's no evidence for it just wild interpretations and theories which do not = science/fact so I just listen to chilled music when watching it. The way all of nature works it's pretty clear it was designed, anyone who can watch these type of documentaries and believes that this all happened by chance is kidding themselves on or trying to appear smart and fitting in and abiding by the status quo, just like many people in other religions agree with the dominant religion in that area/time to appease their family or the society around them, when a religion convinces people it is the truth, or science or not a religion things don't work out so well for humanity, I am not against religion or science in any way, evidence of complex design is literally everywhere around us and throughout this entire documentary: by who or what or how is up to each individual to decide. The truth is no one knows for sure although plenty think that they can prove things they cannot. The 3d in this is amazing, beautiful footage, stunning scenery, highly recommended viewing and as long as you are aware of these evolution 'facts' and do not allow them to affect your worldview.

I had already seen some of the Galapagos series on TV, but with a new 3D Tv i decided to buy this Blu ray to watch it all in 3D.The quality is great, with some really good 3D shots that will really have you saying 'wow'.As expected from a David Attenborough production, the narrative is great and informative.Even if you have already watched the 3 series on TV, it is most defiantly worth watching again to see the 3D effects.If you like nature documentaries and 3D, then this is a must add to your collection.

Absolutely stunning whether in 2D or 3D in store. Note it needs active shutter glasses. Occasional scenes would not focus for me. Worth the money without 3D. 'Making of' bonus riveting, particularly Galapagos - one film crew nearly perished when helicopter broke down and awaited part from San Diego CA. Would convert anyone to 3D - cameras cost 1 million UKP each, had 7 tons of equipment. A revelation. Best nature documentaries I have ever seen, good maps and satellite images. Amazing value.

This DVD is ok how ever I personly couldnt tell mutch diffarants in quollity between 3D and a numal DVD I think 3D TV has been hiked up some what so people are tempted to spend thire money on something that they dont realy need .

Micro Monsters, Natural History Museum Alive, Conquest Of The Skies, The Penguin King, First Life and Rise Of The Mammals.Six of these also play in the 3D Format if you have that facility on your Television.Superb, a definite 5 star highly recommended purchase.

This is a truly reference quality 3D presentation, with top-notch content and narration by Sir Attenborough to match. I have over 10 3D titles, and this is by far the most beautiful. A must-have for 3D TV owners. Between the 3 titles, there is also a wealth of content. Well worth the price.
