I love this lock and how easy it is to use - lock and unlock. The size is great and portable and provides peace of mind.

This itty-bitty ulok is what the doctor ordered, actually the shank is 5 1/2 in. long which works really well on my road bike, it secures the front wheel onto the down tube, measure from top of the down tube to the inside of the front rim and it will fit. Why add to the weight problem right? It has a good security rating as well. This is truly worth the five stars. Happy Trails ! Trouble free transaction.

This lock is unreliable and dangerous and a liability for someone who actually relies on their bike for training and commuting. Save yourself a lot of misery and several hundred dollars in locksmith fees and buy something else. The match is simple. If this thing fails you somewhere far from home and without tools to cut it open, it will end up costing you more than a premium lock such as Litelok X1. My copy started showing issues after less than 10 unlock cycles. Before the 20th cycle it jammed twice, requiring lube oil and about 15 minutes of tinkering to open it. The mechanism failed to rotate - it would not move past half-turn. I tried pushing the O-rings up, juggling the key, praying to God... I made a mistake thinking that lubrication solved the issue and failed to read all of the 1-star reviews. Almost all of them were specifically about the jamming issue. Last time it failed me was in a strip mall. Went to a bike store to get some lubricant but that did not work. After an hour of attempts, I resigned and called a locksmith, which came at 200$ cost. Miraculously, I managed to open it just as I finished the call, and saved myself 200$ in fees, but it could have easily ended up differently. This lock is unreliable and will inevitably fail you. Just get a better lock.

What can I say about Kryptonite locks? I’ve been using them for over a decade, and they’ve never let me down. From living in Los Angeles and parking my bike in some less-than-ideal areas to now living in a small seaside town, this lock has consistently kept my bike safe. The lock itself functions well, used it to lock up my scooter in college. Had some trouble using the lock mount because the lock itself is pretty heavy it ended up sliding the mount out of place especially with the bumpy ride of the scooter.

Best U-lock

1/No lock is uncuttable. 2/ Litelok is the best on the market. Takes longer/multiple disc to cut thru. 3/ This lock is smaller but 13mm. Also cheaper (depending on price) than ny lock. 4/ Understand situation limit -shorter lock ups. Not meant to leave all day at terminal or on the street. 5/ I think people having problems unlocking b/c key is not inserted all the way in. Also over time use graphite to lubricate when lock gets stuck/sticky. Bike locks cannot beat a grinder. Simple.

Got new bike recently and after long research I decided to go for Evolution mini 5. Lock is very sturdy and also practical and small. Didn’t wanted to buy bigger ones as I like to have on the bike smallest amount of add-ons as possible to keep it light. Yes, you cannot lock the bike on every post possible but you always have around some good fence or something so there is no problem on being “too small”. It is very easy to lock and unlock. Also, lock holder is great, no movements, no noises or anything. You pay one time 50€ for a good lock and you are good to go for a long long time, also most of the bikes stolen are ones with cheap chains. Good luck in cutting this xD

トレックfx2に使用。 地球ロックも何とかできて頑丈でいい商品です。 取り付けは、ドリンクホルダーと干渉するので、難儀します。（2枚目） 重心を安定できる箇所は3枚目です。 追記コンビニなどにある太めのパイプの柵には、フレームごとロックは難しいです。 防犯アラームと併用しています。

I really like this lock. It feels heavy duty and I have no doubts about my bike's security, particularly when combined with one of the Kryptonite bike cables (sold separately). It's the perfect balance of size, strength, and portability. On the negative side, I sometimes struggle to get the key all the way into the lock enclosure which wastes a bit of time fiddling about.
