The books are actually real books and are heavy like a book! You have to put it together with the string but it is pretty easy.

True to photos, exactly what I wanted...
Just be prepared to put it together lol. I was kind of shocked that it arrived in pieces. I was expecting it to show up altogether like the photo above. The books are each wrapped separately in plastic, the beads are loose in a small bag and the twine is wrapped up. You have to unwrap the books, bead one end of the twine, knot it and wrap the books up and the secure. Then simply place the faux eucalyptus stem under the twine. It's not difficult to do and the outcome is as pictured.
