Edit: I have been taking magnesium regularly for the past year since weiting this review. I still have nerve issues, but almost never the crippling pains discussed below. When I do, I take magnesium and it goes away. Different magnesium compounds are absorbed by different chemical pathways in the body, so I have switched to a brand that has low doses of 5 different magnesium compounds in one pill. It works really well for me. I also do not consume caffeine within one hour before or afterwards. Original review Blood test did not suggest low magnesium levels but tried anyways for neuropathy due to nerve being irritated from nearby scar tissue. Magnesium is needed for nerve repair so it seemed to make sense. Not suggesting this supplement solves neuropathy but when problem is really bad this absolutely helps. Rubbing magnesium lotion over area with irritated nerve also helps within minutes. Funny thing is, when nerve problem is not severe, magnesium does not help at all. Definitely no placebo effect for me. It works fast when problem severe and does nothing noticeable otherwise. I take 2-3 pills a day anyways because "problem times" involve pretty severe pain. Be careful with magnesium supplementation. Too little and too much both cause health problems. Magnesium is the main ingredient in laxatives, which should tell you what happens if you are getting too much. Also, if you are just starting magnesium supplementation, begin with a lower dose to see how well you tolerate it. I had stomach issues the first few days... and laxative issues. That was a year ago. Body has had no issues with pills since that first few days. I have had no problems with broken pills, or taking the pills. Apparently a lot of reviewers do. Have also not noticed any effect on my sleep, but already sleep well. The only thing this does for me is prevent/stop severe neuropathy pain. Does it help you with issues? If so, tell others. Magnesium DEFINITELY helps me a lot, but only under certain conditions.

What a game changer! Fighting with sleep issues and hot flashes? After researching things that help, I found this. 2 key ingredients that showed up on multiple lists in one (big) tablet. I started taking one every night, about an hour before bed. After several days it dawned on me I hadn't had anymore hot flashes. I was sleeping better again. What a lifesaver! Let's be real though, it doesn't stop the issues all the way 100% of the time, but do for the most part. I have shared this find with so many friends and coworkers and they say the same thing. They are pretty big, and chalky. If you have trouble swallowing, break them in half and swallow as two separate pieces. Menopause? Give them a try, you'll be glad you did!

The pill isn't coated, so it's a bit harder to swallow. I have this on subscription. I hardly notice anything taking 1 pill, but I definitely notice when I get menstrual cramps and I take 2 pills (1,000mg). It really does take the pain away and honestly over time I have had fewer menstrual cramps with far less intensity of pain since regularly taking Magnesium each night. It doesn't make me sleepy, I have taken 2 pills in daytime but it does help relax muscles. It works. Personally I feel like doubling the dose is more noticeable.

Very pleased with this purchase. The bottle comes with a generous 180 tablets, so it lasts a long time and is great value for the price. The tablets are a reasonable size and easy to swallow, and the packaging arrived sealed and in good condition. Overall a convenient, well-priced supplement — would buy again.

One a day great for muscle cramps

Last time I ran out of magnesium, these weren't on special and I didn't have enough money... I had to buy another brand (same strength) and it was a disaster. All my cramps were back and I was really struggling! Now, when I was able to buy from this company again, all my cramps stopped completely. I'll never ever buy any other brand again.

This is a great magnesium product without useless fillers. It is actually a tandard size for magnesium, and you shouldn't have any issues to swallow it. Just a tip for others: usually people make a mistake by putting tiny amount of water with the tablet into their mouth, that's why they can't swallow it or tablet get stuck in their throat. Take a BIG sip of water with the tablets, and you won't have any problems. :)
