This is an early review and I am sharing my first thoughts on the product. This 5-step advance series Bathla ladder was delivered to me just this morning, i.e. within 2 days of me placing order during Amazon GIF. I should say the deal was good and I hurried to place my order on day 2 of the shopping festival. We have been thinking of getting a ladder for a good long time that would give us an easy access to the loft and other high areas in the home without risking ourselves. With suitcases and travel accessories stashed away in the loft after our last vacation late last year I don’t think there would be an immediate need to get them down anytime soon.The ladder came neatly packed in a cardboard box and a plastic sheet tightly wrapped around it. So, no damages or scratches should ideally happen after quality inspection and packaging. That’s what you and I would think but that was not the case. But let me start here with some positive note to give some credit to the product I am reviewing. Ladder is built very light which makes it easy to carry. In fact, you can carry it on one hand and not feel exhausted. Senior citizens are welcome to try and they would agree on this point. Though feels light to carry around but it surely feels solidly built and steady on its base when you have to use it. It can take up to 95 kgs…that’s company claim. There is a creaking sound from the steps when you climb up….yes, even on a brand new ladder. The platform and steps have ridges to give you the grip you need. I would recommend to use the ladder on barefoot just to be extra careful. A 5’5” height person can easily touch the ceiling standing on the platform. I personally feel the handle to hold should have been little longer when you’re at the platform. Folding design of the ladder makes it easy to store and consumes very little space. Anti-skid shoes feels assuring and absolutely no wobbling on a smooth tile surface. So, that’s all the good things about the ladder. Now comes the shortcomings I noticed within the first few hours of me receiving the product.Even though the ladder was packaged neatly and dispatched in a carton but there were couple of scratches on the product which I noticed on unwrapping the outer plastic sheet. The irony is Bathla calls the product scratch resistant. It questions the level of quality inspection it goes through before it gets to the market. Secondly, I noticed the aluminum finish gives away easily. So, quality and perfection is a bit questionable. See couple of photos I have attached in my review. I have read few reviews of earlier customers who have mentioned scratches and minor imperfections on the ladder when they received it. Bathla needs to take the feedback seriously and improve their quality control process. Lot is yet to be seen in the coming months/years on the ultimate quality of this product. Bathla claims the material used is high grade aluminum which is weather resistant and rust proof. All that will be seen in time to come. The 5 year warranty on the product may be a testament of the confidence Bathla have on their product and for a customer it is peace of mind.So, should you buy it. Yes, it is a good product at a reasonable price and in case you are not happy with the quality of the product or the unit you received there is always an option to return it (Disclaimer - check return policy on the product page as they do change from time to time). When I compared the price of this 5 step ladder at a local retailer and online...the difference was more than 1k...worth buying online.

The product is good no doubt,the " C " Shape lock was missing which was with the previous ladder which was purcshed one year back.afer a continous use the ladder has become noisy. compare with the old ladder of same brand

Best ladder. Light and appropriate

It is a good step ladder for every day use. It may not be safe if someone is handling very heavy things while stepping on it. It is slim, sleek step ladder. I do not think that it can bear more than 95 kg weight (total). I would not like to experiment on it with more weight than that because that can be too risky. It sometimes gives creaking sound when someone weighing just around 70 kg uses it. In 'Product Specifications' given on amazon.in, the load capacity given is 150 kg. That seems misleading. Secondly, if it were sturdy enough, why would the company recommend to not stand on any single step of this ladder with both feet there? Earlier, I was thinking about providing it to the window AC installation person to install window AC (which weighs about 50 kg), but, on second thought and going through some comments here, I dropped that thought.

This is a well-constructed, very light weight ladder which serves its purpose. It is sturdy enough for general house work, such as cleaning fans, AC's, stow away luggage etc., which requires one to climb up a bit. Being made of aluminum, the ladder is easy to carry around and also to keep it in storage. Recommend it.
