Is it best to have the Waxoyl in black or clear?

if your applying under the vehicle I use black however on my beetle inner doors and running boards I used clear although as it builds up it's more cloudy honey looking than clear,

Can I just brush this stuff on?

Yes. Just put the whole tin in a bucket of hot water for a while to allow it to run freely. After that just paint as ypu would any other paint.

Do you need a vehicle lift to apply waxoyl?

I warmed the Liquid and applied it using a pump action fence sprayer....but I was covering my Land Rover Discovery that was already quite high off the ground for access.
