Seems quite good - details not included in description/manual
It's solidly built and works well. I got the version with the picatinny fitting - that seems solid too. Here are some details I had to dig to get: - It comes with a DarkBeam branded 18650 2000mAh battery. That seems like a pretty low capacity for a 18650 Li-ion battery. No idea what the actual capacity is. Surprisingly weighty for a lower capacity battery. It claims to be "low operating temperature". - The remote switch that came with mine has four buttons on it. One is raised, and that one is the on/off toggled button. There are three in the lower section, and they all seem to be momentaries (hold down to have the light on) that all do the same thing. As far as I can tell so far, they're all the same intensity. - Some lights are twist-to-zoom, but this one is just straight pull out to change the beam width. - The only 'flaw' I've spotted is that the cord for the remote is just glued into the back of the light. No real strain-relief there.

Good IR light
Highly recommend comes with charger and rechargeable battery lasts for roughly 4hrs of continuous use. Zooms in and out. 940nm highly undetectable wave length. Beats competitors by half their price at least if not more

Not what I expected
After reading the reviews I decided to purchase this illuminator. I was disappointed in it after I received it. I have had other 940nm units before and they were always totally invisible to the naked eye. This one although not as bright as an 850nm it was still bright enough to bother me. The range of this illuminator was not as great as spec'd either

This is the one to get. Inexpensive & plenty of focusable IR light with very decent range.
Very nice. $50 gets you over 100 yards of bright, usable 940nm light that will easily tight focus for better range. I had bought some cheaper 940nm IR lights that made big claims and wasted my money. Glad I bought this one. Well made, well packaged. A real buy.

Good infrared for the money
When zoomed this light will get me out to about a hundred yards. The mount works fine for my rig and the batteries seem to be of good quality.
