I’m no professional polisher, just a dude in his garage trying to bring back to life some old wheels and I had initially bought the Zephyr full kit for more than this kit was worth only to be disappointed with very wobbly wheels that didn’t work. I returned immediately and came across this kit which was more reasonably priced. I decided to give it a try and I gotta say it has worked way better than the Zephyr kit. The wheels are solid and straight, some even a bit too stiff but now that I’ve gotten the hang of using it, it has brought my wheels back better than everything I tried by hand. I’m sure there are better kits out there but for a hobbyist, this has fulfilled my needs so far. I do recommend getting the zephyr safety flanges or any other safety flange since you’ll need them to use this type of wheels.I polished sets of 16” inch wheels with ease

Wow I’m impressed to say the least.So I actually purchased this product first and saw how great of a job it did. I decided that the Zephyr product would probably make it look even better if this no name kit did such a good job. Well I was wrong.The only thing I’m happy with out of the Zephyr kit is the safety plates. I had been using a washer and a nut to secure the airways with this kit before getting the safety plates.I did a 3-step cut/polish with the Zephyr kit with the 3 bars and pads they included, was not happy with the results what so ever. Could not get remotely close to a mirror finish. I only did a 2-step polish with this Amazon kit and am much happier.Maybe it’s just my beginner skill level that is causing these results but I can’t see why. I’ve done paint correction, buffing, and polishing on a decent amount of boats and vehicles so polishing is not a new task for me whatsoever. Not saying that metal polishing is the same thing, it’s definitely a different beast in and of itself.But yup as another reviewer said, I would take this over the Zephyr kit any day of the week.

Perfect for pontoon tanks

This product would have ruined my boat! I bought it because it was advertised as recommended for pontoon boats. These wheels were so stiff they would have went right through the aluminum pontoons. I went to a hardware store and got the proper pads i needed. Also the bars of vlay were so small, theres no way i could have done even a 2 foot section with the amount of clay provided. Dont waste you money on this!!!

The washer/ plate to hold the buff in place is very weak. Highly recommend you buy the safety attachment to use with this product when polishing wheels.

Awesome actually came in tact and what was described great job

The wheels work great. The Tripoli compounds are ok, but the description of each color grit is confusing. I would give 5 stars if they would just rate them hardest to softest like the wheels.
