I have learned how to play the harmonica by self-learning (just a hobby of mine). This slider is new to me...how does it work? currenty, I owned a fourteen hole harmonica-C. I am interested in buying this SCX chromatic series harmonica-C56.

The SCX56-C is a chromatic harmonica, and the slide is a standard feature on chromatics. I suspect you have taught yourself to play a 14-hole diatonic harmonica, which is something quite different. If you do a Google search for "differences between chromatic and diatonic harmonicas" you will find plenty of information on the differences.

I count 14 holes in the picture. What are the extra 2?

12 holes = 3 scales, 2 more holes = an additional half a scale on the lower end

is it in key of G or is it Greg mariot signtare model ..and does is it sound lower than a key of c 16 hole lowest c ?

Its key of G. The G harmonicas that I have are all a lower sound then the C harps I have. I assume this would be the same.

How can you guarantee this is an authentic Suzuki made harmonica?

I cannot verify that the Suzuki-SCX56-C was definitely made in Japan! I can verify that for my playing sensibilities this Suzuki is the Finest sounding and playing chromatic I have played!
