They fully cover the ears and they are super comfortable to wear. Also, great sound quality.

Are they comfortable laying on the side or laying on back and stomach for long periods?

They are fine when lying on your back for a long period of time, which I do with them often. They are slightly bulky, so it isn’t as comfortable when laying on your side.
