My mic has broken in less than 6 months use

I've bought two sets of this microphone to use in fitness classes. The headset itself is really good, and the mic quality is as you'd expect from Shure. Both headsets have broken after a few months at the connector, where the flexible mic attachment joins the headband. This piece really isn't robust enough and both sets cracked here. I keep the headset in a protective case, however it's still damaged and having to look for another headset now. Good quality headset, but the build quality could be so much better.

Whilst this is a condenser microphone with a mini xlr connector it is only compatible with a shure mic pack. My attempt to upscale to a full size XLR using an adaptor into a mic pre-amp into a PA was futile. I also have and regularly use the dynamic mic version which is identical in construction. That works well.

I bought this to replace the flimsy over the ear mic that came with our Shure wireless mic system at out church. A little more bulky than the original, but everyoine that has worn it is impressed at hoe secure it feels and the size doesn't bother anyone. Sound quality is much better as well.
