Easy roller blind making.
Nice product and good value for money. Arrived promptly. The only minor complaint is that the sticky strip will not hold heavier fabrics such as curtaining. (However this is easily overcome with some whits duck tape.) I hve bought 4 of these kits over time soI must think they are good!

Missing instructions.
We got there eventually. The instructions are quite clear but they omit to tell you how to attach the fabric to the roller. What you do is pull out the strip that is in the roller, peel of the back and attach to the top of the fabric, then slide back in the roller. We struggled to keep the strip attached to the strip so once in place we dobbed super glue along the top of the fabric and this did the trick. Just make sure your fabric is carefully cut to size and shape because there is no room for errors. It will show in the finished product.

Straightforward to use and mount
I had fabric I wanted to use, so a blind kit was the obvious choice. It was easy enough to use and looks smart in our kitchen.

Three Stars
Not yet finished and put up but look ok - instructions a bit difficult to follow.

Very pleased with my finished roller blind.
I have been searching for a roller blind for my bathroom for months and couldn’t find anything I really liked. Then I searched on amazon and found this kit at a very reasonable price. It was delivered promptly and although the instructions were a little confusing to start with, it was simple to make. A straight edge and good scissors are vital as the cut of the fabric need to be accurate otherwise the blind will roll up wonky. Chuffed to bits.

Not a roller blind kit and poor design
What you get here is a blind without the special blind fabric it was designed for. The instructions assume you are putting up a ready made blind so you have to, using trial and error, work out the process of making the fabric part yourself. The way you are supposed to anchor your fabric, so you can roll it up neatly on the roller, involves a strip of plastic that has a corresponding groove to slide it into. The plastic needs to be put inside a pocket of fabric you need to first design and then make and you’re then supposed to be able to fit the plastic wrapped in fabric in the groove only the groove is too small. My fabric was a normal cotton type so really not bulky. The first version I tried involved neatly finished seams- they didn’t fit. Second version removed all turnings so the fabric could fray but by doing that I had removed all possible bulk. In this reduced size I still ended up levering the groove to widen it and damaging the fabric in the process of pulling it through the groove. The instructions for putting up the ready made blind were also poor. You need to get the measurements right for cutting fabric and pole to size. The instructions though refer to measurements that need to be taken to the “inside” of a moulded plastic bracket. There is no image to show which part of the moulded plastic would be considered to be the inside.Final point - the screws which came with the blind are very poor quality and had to be thrown away and replaced. My blind is up but have had to overcome massive issues due to the poor design and it took me most of a day to finish. I’m not a quitter which is the only reason I persisted. I really believe most people would give up.In my opinion this product is not fit for purpose.

An easy to use kit
An easy to use kit, that is high quality and easy to use. It is important to get an even cut on the "pole" or it can be tricky to fit into the brackets, but as long as you have a sharp hacksaw this isn't to difficult. The tape to hold the material is strong and the mehcanism for pulling the blind up and down seems robust. If you need to make a blind to fit an awkward sized window then give this a try.
