Can someone explain why it's important for vitamin c products to be gmo-free when the vitamin c molecule is purified from the corn?

Studies indicate that vitamins processed from genetically modified sources, such as corn, may have lower bioavailability than the same type of vitamin derived from non-GMO sources. Pure Organic Ingredients Vitamin C Powder is non-GMO so this should not be an issue.

We do not advertise it as such or include the USDA's seal on our packaging. The National Organic Program specifies a “National List of Approved and Prohibited Substances“. Our Vitamin C powder meets the requirements of this section as the raw materials used for the manufacture of the products, nor the products themselves were treated in any way that would make them not a certifiable organic ingredient. Pure Organic Ingredients confirms that neither the raw materials we use for the manufacture of our products, nor the products themselves, are treated with ionizing radiation.
