Really good mic for recording acoustic guitar
The mic works great with the focusrite solo I also tried the mic with the behringer umc22 interface and also worked well. High volume on play back. Have the mic on a boom about half a meter away from guitar on 95% recording volume I found this to be the sweet spot for the mic. I'm using Audacity audio software. Really good microphone.

One of the best I have ever used
This is one beast of a mic but what a beautiful warm sound. Well built, complete with a mic mount and dust cover (and carriage screw), this is one really nice looking and nice sounding mic. If I have anything to say in terms of improvement... why at over £400 can't they provide an aluminium carry case for this? the box it comes in is very nice, heavy and very fancy but I would sooner have that money spend on a decent protective case - just a thought.

Excellent Mic at this price
I have been using this for a few months now and i'm very pleased with its performance. The sound is rich and full with a clear sound. If you need to pull in a wider area than a shotgun mic this is the one.I have found it perfect for indoor video work. IE on a boom pole. With the NT-2 shotgun mic for outdoor. In my opinion you can't go wrong with RODE on this the lower end of microphone pricing or with there higher priced gear.

Great vocal mic
Great mic for vocals and acoustic guitar. Probably has more uses but that's all I've used it for so far. Built like a tank too so make sure your mic stand is up to the task. Quick delivery too

Top quality broadcast microphone
As a broadcaster, this is up there with the best microphones - and this NT1000 is far superior than the similarly priced, but poorer (I'm my opinion) Rode NT1A, which tend to come in attractively bundled extras. Forget the extras, get a top quality mic first, and this is it.Of course, the sound all comes down to the acoustics in your room/ studio - and any pre-and post EQ settings you use via your mixer, but this is the mic of choice!

Well worth a look
Good results with strings, voice and piano. I like the transit screw - be careful not to lose it. You can take the clutch-bolt out of the mount provided and reverse the bit which the mic is screwed into. This gives a more flexible range of mounting angles on a given stand.

Sounds great but the connector on the bottom fell out after ...
Sounds great but the connector on the bottom fell out after about the third session. It has now gone for repair.
