Very cheap but well made vitamix copy.
This is very powerful. It will blend everything you would want to in seconds. For soups I steam a load of vegetables in my steamer and then transfer to this blender and in seconds I have a soup.If you leave it going for a couple of minutes it will also heat up so the soup is hot. Smoothies in seconds, and if you use ice then they come out nice and cold.

I have never used a Vitamix so it's hard to compare to what it's copying. I've only ever used a Nutri-bullet before. This works a dream on smoothies full of chopped fruit and veg and even large amounts of ice, it appears very powerful and is relatively quiet (compared to a nutri-bullet). It does require a liquid to chop things up - you can't just do a load of nuts or dry veg on their own.I brought because of the 7 year warranty - fingers crossed I won't have to use it and the company will still be around by then.

Sadly it has just failed to do a good job in grinding chickpeas to make felafel
A lovely blender, much.more powerful than most I have had before. It's been stoical for most tasks, including making oat flour from rolled oats.Sadly it has just failed to do a good job in grinding chickpeas to make felafel::I had to add milk to get there...eventually: I therefore ended up with quite a moist mixture. It would probably work with cooked or canned chicken peas... And I did eventually persuade it to function effectively. A lot of patience needed!Still a very good kitchen item.

Three years later
Edit October 2022: Beware. Berg offers warranty on the motor only though not made clear in the description. Blender diagnosed as having a faulty blade assembly - a known issue as this is mentioned in a few reviews online - but this problem is not covered by the warranty. Berg's solution is to buy a new part. Binning the blender and getting a good brand.Edit: Aug 2022 - Sadly, 3 years after purchase, it’s leaking terribly; can’t handle anything with low liquid content; and seems only useful as a mixer of liquids… but then it leaks. If unable to find a tradesperson to fix it, I will be contacting Amazon for a refund as it’s still within its 7-year warranty. I’ve knocked 4 stars off because it’s no longer fit for purpose within a short period.…I love this ‘almost industrial’ blender. It’s perfect for the use of the whole family. It has a fat pulse switch and a well-labelled turn thing. So easy to use, and it blends so beautifully.

Well built and quiet on the lower mixing speeds.
The media could not be loaded. Update July 2020 : Only using this occasionally for bulletproof coffee and the odd smoothie, but still going strong.Update Jan 2019. Still going strong! Have reduced shakes down to 1 a day, but very pleased so far.Used at least 3 times a day for making thick milk based protein shakes and the occasional smoothie. No problems whatsoever.l would like to say there is no comparison between the £40 tower or bullet blenders and this beast. I previously went through 3 of them before getting this, this is SO much better. Here is a a little video and some pictures I took shortly after recieving the unit.. Have now owned this for about 2 months. The initial burning smell - thats just sparks from the motor carbon brushes bedding into the commutator and will soon vanish with use. Everything seems well built, but as with most of these type of blenders the main reason for failure are the bearings around the blade, which usually are weak and cannot stand the forces and upto 30,000 RPM speed. Vitamix have a high quality dual bearing, (2 bearing races) so last decades. I thought the small rubber drive (picture 2) which slots into the blender (picture 1) could be a weakness, but from having used it for a while it has not shown any wear - and the blender has been used 3-4 times a day! I guess only if the blade bearings (in the jug) start to go, producing a less than smooth rotation do the rubber drives wear out quickly. You get an extra rubber drive in the package. It's pretty quite on the lower mixing speeds its only the high power speeds do you get real noise.Although a 7 year limited warranty is advertised it did not come with the item and is not part of the instruction booklet. The company has now explained to me that its automatically given and does not require a warrenty card. Very pleased so far.

Not suitable for low water/liquid content foods. ods
I bought this as an alternative to Vitamix and as an investment piece. Primary use to make energy bars and hummus, soups on a bi weekly basis. Very disappointed as the jug is so deep, these foodstuffs stick to the bottom. Unsuitable for food of low water volume. Fine for soups or nut milks. I've reverted back to my cheaper blender and really old food proceessor😞😞😩

Fantastic...
I have a juicer and a food processor of well know makes and the motors in these machines are very heavy. These machines are time proven and very good. This Blender machine motor is very light which raises some concern in my mind however it is twice as big as my other machines so maybe that counts for something? With a 7 year warranty you would think they must of gotten it right (no warranty in the box so I downloaded invoice and Amazon advert for proof ).It is without doubt the best blender I have ever had. I would definitely recommended it. The only thing that i wish i had known before buying it is that the pulse function will only work if the motor is first put in action: turn machine on, then pulse (not pulse from still). This was a bit of a pain for me because i like to pulse my banana smoothies so not to put air in the smoothies! However, to try and protect my teeth so i now use Reusable Silicone Smoothie Straws BPA Free (from Amazon, very good) because i eat so much fruit the acid is getting to be a bit much for my teeth Sooooo air in the smoothie is not a problem with a straw. Get this blender, it is fantastic, if a bit big...And a top tip for you people: only ever run you blender for 30 seconds, then rest for 30 seconds, and repeat, (or one minute at the very most) what is the rush? take your time and the motor will last for ever... think of it like a car, just because you can drive at 5000 RPM dose not mean you should. Makes me laugh when reading about other blenders people say " stop working after 10 - 20 minutes"..... so would you car if you abused it like that!
