Except for the long wait for the mug to be shipped all the way from the US, no other complains about the quality of the product itself. it is a great mug. The top could be a bit tricky to clean.

Literally the best travel mug ever. Coffee stays hot for hours, particularly if you pre-warm it with hot water. And the secure spot and lock function mean you can chuck it in your bag (or bike drink holder!) and it won’t spill! Totally worth the money.

The sealing mechanism is solid and has survived multiple drops without accidental opening or damage. I didn't think the locking mechanism was useful until a 2 year old managed to get a hold of the mug then tried to open the mug of hot coffee but was thwarted because it was locked. So a few things to note. The spout is wide so it is easy to drink from but the actual opening is quite narrow, about the diameter of a straw. This prevents hot coffee from gushing out but it also means its not suitable for drinking thicker liquids like a cream or tomato soup. The bottom mug part is 17cm (6.7") tall. For those hoping to brew directly: -Espresso machine, the mug is too tall to easily directly brew from any Saeco, Delonghi, Breville or Jura machines (both manual or superauto). I was able to wedge it into some espresso machines by holding it askew under the spout. -Most Keurig machines can brew directly into this mug except for the smallest models. -Aeropress works great with this mug, the top is wide enough to handle the aeropress without the funnel. The temperature retention is quite good. As a baseline, it holds things hot for hours longer than a series of contigo mugs i bought from costco. I've owned a bunch of mugs from thermos, contigo, spigg, bubba and even other zojirushi models. This is hands down the best mug i ever owned.

I love this travel mug! It is The Absolute Best Travel Mug. I tried many travel mugs and they all fell short of my expectations. I seriously tried 5-6 types and was disappointed each time. This zojirushi mug was exactly what I wanted: Large in capacity, leak proof (you can even put it in your handbag lying down and it won’t spill as long as you don’t overfill, and you lock it), keeps the drink very hot for very long, and it has a beautiful sleek design with a wide mouth. It even kept my coffee hot/warm for quite a while, when uncovered. I had the cover off because the coffee was too hot and was taking a long time to cool down. It makes this mug a much better cup to use for hot drinks in winter, than your average ceramic mug!

Excelente producto, muy resiste, de buenos materiales. Conserva mi café caliente incluso cuando por distracción dejo la tapa abierta, lo que demuestra lo bien hecho. This is the best water bottle I’ve ever used. I love the fact that I can put ice in from the refrigerator dispenser without having it fall all over the place; nearly 3” is the perfect size opening for doing this and almost every other water bottle has a tiny opening which makes ice fall on the floor when you try to fill it from a refrigerator dispenser. The outside of the bottle stays warm to the touch while the inside temperature of the water bottle remains ice cold when you put ice in it. It’s pretty amazing how it works. I fill it about halfway full of ice and add cold water to the fill line, screw the cover back on and head to work around 7:30 am. This water bottle stays in my car until I get home from work usually around 5:30 pm. I’ll open it several times during the drive to take sips, but it remains seated in the cupholder where it fits well in the vehicle. My vehicle has been parked in a parking lot with all windows rolled up in the scorching heat the last few weeks with outside temperatures approaching 90 degrees. I imagine the inside temperature of the vehicle is much hotter. When I get back out to my car after work the bottle is warm to the touch on the outside, but when I take a sip of water it is still just as cold as it was the morning I poured it and the ice is still in there, with very little melting. I have not put warm liquids in this bottle yet so I’m not sure how well it keeps liquids warm. The lock and seal on this bottle are both well engineered. I have never had any leaking or accidental top opening and would feel confident in throwing this bottle in a bag knowing it won’t leak. The lid and seal can be removed to hand wash, but I wouldn’t put it in the dishwasher if you want the seal to stay in good condition. This bottle is my go to bottle now at home and at the office, but it is a must have if you travel. Definitely worth the money you pay and based upon my experience with other similar products this blows the Yeti Rambler out of the water in terms of ice/cold water retention. Fantastic product.
