Very useful and easy to fit. I have two very heavy wooden gates that were getting regularly damaged. These spring loaded wheels support the gates so the weight is not entirely on the hinge post. Also, and more important, the wheels slow the movement of the gates especially when they have not been secured shut or open properly. This prevents the gates from slamming in the wind and the resulting damage over time. Very pleased, well made, they do the job and are reasonably priced.

A sturdy product at a good price. I needed to raise my gate about 2.5 cm.. I assumed the wheel would swivel a full 360 degrees but, with the centre of the wheel above the bottom of my wooden gate, it bangs against the gate and jams itself at the wrong angle. Had to remove a 5mm thick slice from the gate to give clearance. (If I wanted to attach this product to a metal gate with very little ground clearance it would need jacking out sideways.)Two M10 bolts of length 100mm worked well.

Using this to manoever two pallets as a gate. One attached to the wall and the other attached to the first as a movable gate. Armed with two decent hinges and this wheel, job is complete. Don't know what the measurement is for the load I'm using, but it's enough to bear the hinged pallet. Recommended.

Despite replacing like for like the spring on the new castor could not support the weight of our gate. I ended up using the original spring again. Otherwise, this is a simple no-nonsense castor that works well on a hard flat surface,

Not the easiest thing to install, screwdriver gets you part of the way but then you have to use a torque wrench, all the while the spring is under pressure...
