Amazing product, amazing performance for any given task
For what I have, office use, this has surpassed all my expectations. Given this is my first ever PC build. Going AMD over intel was a tricky choice to make, but nonetheless the right choice. I highly recommend this product and this is an outstanding CPU. I can run multiple monitors, applications, softwares, etc. all simultaneously without any issues!

Fast chip for gaming and office work
I use this CPU for single player games (4k, 1440p), and for administrative office work. It excels at both. Runs newer games and drives my 7800XT without ever bottlenecking. It also came with a capable RGB cooler, although it's a little loud. The cooler looks great though . Works if you want to save some pennies. Easy to install, and very easy to overclock with a B650 motherboard.

Great Affordable CPU
Great CPU at a reasonable price. The wraith fan keeps it cool for everything I do.

Best all around Value
Everyone wants the 3D chips to play games. For anything else this 8 core chip is great. I was going to get the Ryzen 5 5600 6 core but read a review that mentioned the Ryzen 7 7700 came with a upgraded OEM cooler. This changed the calculus and the $100 extra for a very nice upgraded OEM designed RGB cooler plus 2 extra cores put this chip at the top of my list. This is an amazing value for your money. The technology today is truly amazing that you can have this kind of performance out of a 65W chip and the engineers at AMD know what they are doing. The upgraded cooler blows down, cooling not only the chip but also the surrounding electronics on the main board unlike most aftermarket air coolers. Thermal paste is pre applied. Unless you need the extra cache for gaming (3d designation) or a threadripper, I consider this chip one of the best values in 1st quarter 2025. The integrated graphics is also nice to have, even though I have a discreet NVIDIA GPU.

Nice!
Pair this with a rx 7900 xt and getting very good cpu/gpu performance. Near the top tier, I would say low high end for a thousand less $

CPU is great. Included CPU cooler is a bit loud at high fan RPMs
Been using Ryzen CPUs for years and love them. This Ryzen7 7700 is a great way to break into the DDR5 club. It turbos to 5.2GHz on my Gigabyte X870 Gaming motherboard running 32GB of Crucial DD5-5600 RAM.The included CPU cooler is a bit loud for my tastes. I remember these AMD Prism coolers being a lot quieter at higher fan speeds. I sort of regret not spending another $40 on a Noctua HSF but that's on me.This CPU itself is fast and runs reasonably cool (high 30C range) while watching YT videos or surfing the net. Would buy again, but would get a nice aftermarket HSF to go with it.

This processor is an absolute powerhouse.
7700 / 4080 Aero / 32gb DDR5 @ 6200MT/s - I have my system running at over the base rating of 5.3gz, currently at 5.6ghz, PBO2 (-25) and 100% stable during renders and heavy gaming workloads with many tasks and processes going in the background. It never goes over 65°c with the PBO2 offset enabled, and I'm gaining performance from the temp drop. If it's cheaper, which it usually is; purchase this CPU, in the Non X version. Free cooler included and you can flip a single switch, get performance exactly the same as the 7700x with much lower temps, much lower power consumption, and it's just all around better. I love this chip.
