One of the great book I've come across

This was advertised has restoring "faltering faith of millions of people in themselves". However after listening to only 5 minutes of the audio CD as was utterly disappointed to find that this book is in fact about restoring Faith in God/Jesus and NOT in one's self. I am no a Christian and not religious in any way shape or form. I do not need to look back at how wonderful Jesus was to have faith in myself. The synopsis of this book should not say "faltering faith of millions of people in themselves" but "faltering faith of millions of people in God". I make my life my own - so called "God" has nothing to do with it.Very VERY disappointed.

I had read this book years ago, and with this reading it was just as relevant as it was then. Powerful stuff. Really nothing but common sense mixed with God's word. It will work if you want it to.After reading some of the negative reviews here I thought I might add a couple of thoughts. First, to those offended or surprised by the Christian content, the book was written in the early 1950s. This was before America and Americans decided to toss God out of their lives and culture . Secondly, it starts with the will. Does One really want to get better ? The techniques and thought processes taught in the book won't magically remove bad circumstances. However it can change your approach to them which can cause you to reverse the ones that are self imposed. It starts with the will.

I feel the real value in this book will be found in the reading,digestion and re-reading of it.It puts forth an interesting set of ideas about the application of a practical and healthy belief system and faith.

I got my shipment of 7 books and this book was the only one which was disappointing. The print is not original. It's a photocopy which I hate to read. I thought I would always get original books when I order through Amazon. Alas! it's not so. The photocopy books are available locally at USD 3 or 4; whereas I paid USD 23.36 for this book. So, if you want original book then my recommendation would be to never buy this book from this seller.Interestingly, the 'Foreword' section is printed properly. I just looked at one section which was written in bold fonts. Here it is - "He was born in Bowersville, Ohio, USA, on May 31 1898. His father was Charles Clifford PEALE, born in 1980 died in 1959". I couldn't read any further :(I am going to lodge a complaint to Amazon. I have heard that Amazon's after sales service/support is quite good. Hoping the best outcome as I am still thinking positive :)
