The Franchisee Handbook: Everything You Need to Know about Buying a Franchise : Siebert, Mark, Cresanti, Robert: desertcart.ae: Books Review: As a first-time franchisee and business owner, I was looking for a resource that would help me avoid the expensive pitfalls of franchising. The Franchisee Handbook was exactly what I needed! Mark Siebert's expertise shared in this book was my guide through every step of the process of buying a franchise. From questions to ask fellow franchisees to meeting with the franchisor, Mark's experience was invaluable. Mostly importantly, the book brought my attention to an often overlooked clause in franchise agreements. I was able to successfully negotiate that clause with my franchisor, potentially saving me millions of dollars over the course of my agreement! That alone was worth the small price of this book. Mark, I am grateful for your experience and guidance and highly recommend The Franchise Handbook to anyone considering buying a franchise. Review: I never left before a negative review to a book but this one was too much. It starts with 15 pages of positive things about a franchise in very general terms. After that the rest of the book is a collection of “what can go wrong in a franchise” written in a very sad and depressing manner with 0 solutions. None of these problems come with solutions for you as a reader to learn something or examples from real life. There are just scenarios of what can go wrong, which any individual can imagine by itself. If you want to learn how you can improve your franchise or prepare yourself before you go on this road I am afraid that this book has no value to bring on the table. After reading it it makes you hate franchises and start looking for something else.

For us that care about franchising, this is a very helpful tool. There’s no doubt the author has gone through a great deal of experience, and he shares it with us here. I am a franchise consultant in Latin America and I am always learning from Mark’s insightful books. [email protected]
