An important glue to keep in your tool cupboard
I have found this to mend certain items considerably better than other glues - I don't use it quite as often as superglue, perhaps, but it seems to be the only glue that works for some repairs. It does take about 24 hours (or more) to dry, so patience is required. I have bought both the black and see-through types - I wouldn't say it looks professional after gluing, but in each case that didn't really bother me. (It is a bit tricky to get a tidy finish). Here are three cases that I have used it for: - Welly boots. Very old boots, rip at front, coming apart at seem at back. Fixed both with this. After a year or so, it needs a bit of topping up, but that is after quite a bit of use. Certainly cheaper than new wellies. - Walking boots. Here, I have rubber against leather, where the boots are starting to come apart from the seam (after 20 years). Definitely want the clear glue here, but I can now use walking boots through puddles (obviously, alongside waxing, etc). - Paddleboard. I think they sell as specific glue for this (as a paddleboard is 18psi) but I found that the standard stormsure worked just as well for the particular damage I had (a tear, which was leaking only very slightly). Perhaps only good for small tears, but, nevertheless, completely leakproof for air once done. To get a good fix, I used a paddleboard pump in reverse to draw the glue into the seam (if you can get your hands on one). It should work perfectly on a paddling pool I think (perhaps even for quite large damage) since the pressure is so much smaller.

This stuff saved my old faithful walking boots
The sole of my walking boot had split significantly along the inner edge. The boot itself was still in good condition and the sole still had plenty of tread on it. Me and these boots have walked many, many miles over all terrains over the years and I was loathe to begin the process of breaking in a new pair without at least attempting to salvage my old faithful pair. Having read the reviews for Stormsure Flexible Repair Adhesive and watched a couple of 'how to' videos on You Tube I decided it was worth a try. Was it ever! I cleaned the surfaces to be glued of dirt and debris and applied a good amount of the adhesive, then taped around the boot and join to keep the surfaces together. Because of the liberal amount of adhesive I'd used I allowed 48 hours curing time before removing the tape and applying a little more glue in the areas where the product had settled into the split, as a final sealant along the join. 48 hours later it was time for the test. Would it really hold up over the hilly and rocky terrain I was planning to test it on? Indeed yes! After some 70 or so miles the seam is still holding wonderfully and my feet remain dry after several dunks into streams and mud. So for the cost of a coffee and cake I can now hopefully look forward to many more miles of roaming in my comfy old boots. And by buying the 3 pack of small tubes I still have one unopened tube for any future minor repairs. Absolute bargin!!

Dunlop Wellington Boot Repair
I had a 1.5 inch split at the heel of my right wellington boot and they were not that old so I thought I'd try a repair using Stormsure. The instructions weren't that clear for boot repair, but I cleaned the area and fine sanded the surface to give something to bond to. I applied the glue with more than 5mm surround - I basically put it in the split and then on the top surface and left it 12 hours to cure. It didn't dry clear, it had a frosted appearance. Next day I walked the dog up the field and back down the lane. Hosed my boots off when I got home and the Stormsure had begun to split in exactly the same place as the original split. So that was a failed repair. However there were 3 small tubes in the packet so I thought I'd try again. I cleaned off the cracked glue starting from the split and re-sanded the surface lightly. It seemed to me that for whatever reason when walking in these wellingtons that the split point must be a stress point and the glue alone wasn't strong enough to stop it splitting again. So I used 2 inner-tube puncture repair patches and stuck them across the split with Stormsure, then applied the rest of this small tube over the top of the repair as before. I left it 24 hours to cure and again it dried frosty. Next day repeated my dog walk same route and hosed my wellies when I got home. This time the repair had held, no leaks, no cracks. So hopefully it should last for a while now. I think it just needed the extra mechanical support of the puncture repair patches to reduce stress at the split point and give it more surface area to bond to. The main point is that, for now, it is working for the purpose I bought it, even if it needed a little help. It did come with some webbing in the packet but the instructions seemed to indicate that was for repairing tents. However, if I hadn't used the puncture repair patches this webbing might have done the extra mechanical support job, but the instructions weren't clear on this. I'm not bothered by the frosty appearance though clear would have been better. It was a good sized deep split right through where it had split and I'll be pleased if the repair holds long enough to get some decent wear from my wellington boots, then it will have done its job.

Amazingly strong sticky stuff
The Stormsure flexible repair adhesive in these three little 5gm tubes is ideal. I always keep some in stock. The glue has a reasonable working time of a couple of hours, so no panic about aligning a join, but the converse to this is that one needs to arrange a means of holding the join in position. “Fast!” can mean waiting 24 to 48 hours for full strength, depending on humidity and temperature. It also tends to spread around while unobserved, so the restraints securing the pieces might also become bonded to the work! Be aware, once the seal is broken on a tube the contents will set in a few weeks regardless of closing the top. A split end on my Ryobi leaf blower. . Securing the aged flush-bellows on a couple of cisterns so they responded properly to the pneumatic button push . Securing the bumper strip on a vacuum cleaner . Sealing and locking a reversing camera's mounting bracket nuts and camera lead to a fitting on the car.

Good for repairing worn soles of walking shoes
I use mainly to repair worn areas on soles of walking shoes and find it more durable than Shoe Goo - and better value. I find buying 3 small tubes rather than 1 large tube helps the sealant last longer in the tube. As per instructions, I keep part-used tubes in the freezer.

Perfect for waterproof, flexible repairs.
Used to repair a three inch pocket tear on a Barbour jacket, this has done the job perfectly. Easy to apply effectively after watching a couple of Stormsure instructional videos on YouTube, it cures fairly quickly and provides a flexible, waterproof seal as advertised. It's far from being an invisible mend of course, but it's not "point and laugh" noticeable either. Great stuff, highly recommended.

Works great as a waterproof seal for rubber wellington boots
I used this product to fix a pair of Hunter Wellington boots. It works well as a waterproof seal to renovate perished Wellington boots. The boots had been squashed while in storage in the garage and had perished at the creases normallyformed when walking and also where they had been bent over. I cleaned the boots with soap and water, dried them and applied the glue following the instructions. My plan had been to cover the whole toe cap area with the clear glue rather than have blobs of glue to give a better finished appearance. I intended the whole to area to dry clear and a bit shiny. Annoyingly I didn't dry the boots 100% and a tiny amount of moisture made the glue go white. This chemical reaction is clearly explained in the instructions but it must have been such a small amount of moisture that still affected the glue. My plan for a clear glue on the toes of the brown boots had failed as there were white patches on them. The glue did however seal the holes and stop the leaks making the wellington so isable again. They just don't look too great. It was my error though. I should have let the boots dry possibly overnight to be sure they were completely dry. About 3 months on and the glue has now turned yellowish and has darkened. Ultimately once the boots are covered in mud it won't notice. If you want the glue to be perfectly clear then make sure the surface is bone dry. If you want the glue to cure quickly then you can add a tiny amount of water and it will set quickly BUT the glue will dry white. This is due to the formation of tony has bubbles in the glue.

The reviews of this product were good for solving different types of problem to mine
I have a LazySpa inflatable hot tub which has served us well for some years but has sometimes had small leaks. I have been able to fix these with the patches in the past, but this time there were two main leaks right on the seam area between two sections. With the contours, the patches just would not work so I was looking for a flexible type sealant. The reviews of this product were good for solving different types of problem to mine, but the spec suggested it would be good for inflatables so I thought I would give it a go. It did indeed seal around this awkward area and the tub is now usable again. The only negative was that it would have been difficult to use the seal with the spa fully deflated, so I had to try with it inflated but under low pressure. The sealant closed the leak quite quickly, even with slight signs of air escaping, but it remained quite runny for some time. This meant that instead of being a neat fix it ran down the sides of the tub and I had to use more than really needed to be sure of the seal. To fully solve the problem I had to trace other small leaks too over a period of about 2 weeks. Just for information the tube I opened remained usable for all that time without storing in a freezer, although the consistency had firmed up after that time and it didn't run as much. This suggests to me that if you are going to re-use if over 1-3 weeks its OK for an opened tube to be stored in a normal dry room but for longer storage the freezer idea may be needed.

Great stuff, does the job!
Great stuff, does the job! Really happy with this glue! It does exactly what I needed it to do, holds well and seals perfectly. A useful tip from the instructions: if there’s any glue left in the opened tube, keep it in the freezer so it doesn’t go to waste. Would definitely buy it again!

did the business
bought this to fix my inflatable Intex kayak which, despite its claimed "US Military grade" (insert Vietnam joke here) pvc, mysteriously punctured on the inside with no explanation. Was somewhat sceptical having also tried to fix my last Intex kayak (which also mysteriously punctured) with epoxy resin, without success. Anyway - this stuff got the job done, and I am happy to report that i've successfully not drowned on two subsequent kayak trips. You don't get a huge amount in the 3 tube packet, but you don't need a lot, at least for my purposes. Recommended and thanks for prolonging the life of my kayak!
