Simple and stylish
Brilliant slicer, simple to use and takes minutes to clean. Looks great in the kitchen with its simple no nonsense design,German made for efficiency plus a bonus of the collection tray that slides underneath. Very happy with the item, slightly more expensive than some of the more generic brands I’ve seen advertised however definitely worth the extra few quid. 5 stars from me 😎

Very Happy !
After careful research and this NOT being the no1 recommended slicer I chose this model. It arrived very quickly and was tracked all the way. It came with a continental 2 pin plug and a UK adapter so perfect for me. So far we have just tried it the once on a piece of roast beef and it performed perfectly. A nice solid machine which had rubber grips underneath so as not to slide. The piece of beef which if it had been cut with a knife would have served 4 dinners and a few sandwiches , stretched to make 8 dinners and sandwiches for 2 as well , so this means that it is saving you money all the time ! My wife initially was not too keen on my purchase , but after seeing it in action says that's a great buy ! Very happy with the purchase and we found no issue in cleaning it afterwards.

Slices meat perfectly.
Works slicing steak as thick as 2cm and as thin as 1mm as pictured above. The meat was frozen then left in the fridge to slightly defrost for 12 hours. Especially if you are into Asian cuisine like hot pot and Korean BBQ then this is the machine for you. Some points that irks me: There is a knob behind which controls thickness and tells you exactly how many mm you are slicing. But it doesn't work that smoothly, or at all. But I am not into precision so I am just eyeballing the thickness by judging the distance between the blade and the back plate. Clean up is a hassle as it is dealing with raw meat. I clean it with wet wipes but there is some meat that's jammed between the blade and the body which is hard to clean.

Great product - bad Amazon experience
A great quality product as expected from German engineering and definitely worth the money. Small, robust, and efficient not like this cheap low quality Andrew James slicers I had before. Just a shame that Amazon messed up the order - delivered 2 days later than promised and with a European plug - why would somebody in UK order on Amazon UK something with a European plug. Looking into the feedback, other people that ordered the same product from Amazon UK got the product with an UK plug.

Great for slicing home made Bacon!
Bought this for my wife who likes to make her own preserved meats, superb slicer which cuts very even slices and is great for slicing our home made bacon. The Body is all metal, so no bending when pushing against it which gives a consistent cut, my only gripe would be a longer lead (it's quite short), a UK plug (comes with a two pin one but an adapter is supplied) & it would be good to have anti slip feet on the bottom as when pushing the meat through it tends to slide somewhat.Overall a good purchase and a robust slicer for home use!

2nd most useful appliance in my kitchen, only bested by the kettle!
The slicer works like a charm. We thought about buying a cheaper (but very good rated) brand but after quite a lot of research, we decided on this one. We use it to slice cured or dried meat (very thin slices!), cheese and bread and the occasional gammon. It's just perfect. Because most of the things we slice are dry we find it very easy to clean. We haven't tried to wholly disassemble it for a more thorough cleaning, though.

Impressive 'Ritter' Quality.
I looked long and hard at the various kitchen electric food slicers on the market and it seemed, with every review I read, (on many well known machines), there was always a niggling problem,or disappointment, usually with the flimsy nature of the construction. I then saw a film on the 'Ritter', factory and was impressed with the ethos of the Company, being, 'Quality of construction and longevity of the machine'. So, I purchased a Ritter E16 slicer and found it to be just as solid, quiet and exceptionally well made as I have grown to expect from German engineering. If you demand quality, I suggest you also look at the 'Ritter' range, sold through Amazon.
