WOLF-Garten SDE2800EVO 2800w Electric Shredder

Once you get over the weight and work how the top part fits on it’s an excellent shredder. Have purchased in the past another cheaper “light weight” type which did not have the stability and an inconvenient collection bag which always came of the hooks. This one has a collection box fitted underneath which means no mess. As a gardener and an allotment person I need reliable tools so go for Wolf products every time. Thoroughly recommend this one.

This works fine as long as you're shredding long straight branches with no leaves. If you have leaves you'll need to remove them. If you have forked or bushy branches you'll need to cut them up first. Leaf clippings etc won't fit in the hole and anyway jam it up instantly.Had it for 3 years and used it 3 times: the blades were blunt after that. For the money it is poor.

Not a great first review for such a mighty brand name, but this thing keeps on cutting out, ie not working. Managed to figure out that the 13A fuse in the plug is the culprit, so about to insert fuse #3 in order to complete current workload. There is no pattern to when the thing ceases up so I cannot currently blame my work pattern for the problem. Have reported it to the WG help desk and waiting to hear. That may result in a rating upgrade, certainly if it transpires that I am at fault.Not what I bargained for, caveat emptor.And DPD missed the delivery date too, by a day:(

Fuse keeps blowing on minimal load. Also crap cutting power. Couldnt even handle 2cm diameter leylandi with the leaves cut off... basically useless.
