Fair price, good & quiet wheel. Buy it!
No complaints, and the hamster really seems to like it! [Update: It does get noisy eventually.]PRICE, QUALITY, PRICE FOR QUALITY: Good quality, appropriate price (on Amazon). I dunno what's the reviews saying the yellow thingie falls off; mine is fine and it's been weeks. I'm using it on the ground with the stand.SIZE: I heard the next size down was too small for roborovoskis except for babies, so I bought this one. It seems comfortable and spacious for my adult female roborovski, but not so big that I feel like I went TOO big. I'm happy that she has more running room (side to side) and that it's a flatter run for her (rather than her having to arch her back).GETTING DIRTY: Yes, you have to wash the urine & feces off of it from time to time, but why have a pet if you aren't willing to take care of it? This wheel is probably much safer and much more comfortable for their little feet than a wire one that the urine & feces can drop through, so, that's just how it goes. Suck it up for the sake of your hamster (and your ears).Besides, I don't see why wire wheels would need to be cleaned any less often (even if the need to do so isn't as immediately visually obvious) but, sadly, I bet a lot of people go weeks or months letting them get all nasty. That's a problem with the OWNER, not with plastic vs. metal wheels...NOISE: It's not utterly silent (duh), but it's so quiet that I generally don't realize that she's using it unless I look and see it. When you're lying in bed and thinking about it, sure, you can hear it a bit, but I was going insane from the previous wheel (even with olive oil on it), whereas now I never even think about it, ever. Her scritching and scratching about the cage is distracting for me, some nights, but never the wheel. [Update: Yeah, it gets noisy eventually, and now I'm back to needing earplugs. Took a few months though, not weeks.]Recommended! It's also attractive. I'm glad mine turned out to be purple :)

Actually SILENT!
Love it, and so does my fancy bear hamster. I have tried 4 wheels (and that saucer thing), and this is by far the best. She can't get enough of it, and runs all the time. She gets on easy, and there is no bar in the center (as some have), so she doesn't have to arch her back while running. After a few months, it still is working as good as the day it arrived, and she does not chew on the plastic or anything like that. The spinner itself is in fact silent, which is great for me as she can now stay in the bedroom without keeping me up all night. I use it with the attached stand, and so I can't comment on the functionality of the cage attachment. I use large cedar chip bedding, and keep it fairly thin since I change it frequently, and with such a thin coating, I will say that the wheel does wobble around the cage a bit and make some noise. I think this would be solved if you used more bedding, or used the fluffy bedding material. Personally I solved it by placing it directly on the cage floor, and using a small piece of duct tape to keep it in place. Before anyone freaks out about that I will say she does not chew on it, and my veterinarian said it was fine so long as I don't notice any chewing on the tape, which I don't.I can't imagine this ever breaking, but if it does (most likely if I drop it while cleaning the cage) I will not hesitate to buy it again!

Slides around too much/bit of a choppy spin
Update: it’s awful I wake up and it’s wedges against the wall and can’t move because it’s so light weight and poorly designed my hamsters moves it around and it gets stuck. It’s terrible and waste of my moneyEhh it’s at a good price but I feel as though I need to buy extra things to modify it. It slides on the niteangel wooden platform and ends up scraping the sides of my cage making it hard for the hamster. Needs some kind of grip on the bottom to prevent it from sliding around the cage and constantly needing to be adjusted. Lastly it’s doesn’t exactly spin smoothly, it’s a bit choppy out of the box. Might need lubricant I’m not sure

Works Well
This wheel is certainly quieter than the standard wheel I had. Since it's plastic, it's easy to clean too. However, the wheel will get loose and wobble after about 2 weeks of use. I think it seems to be the construction of the back attachment and the axle. Once this happens, it is still "quiet," but definitely not nearly as noiseless as when it is first used. I'm not sure it can be fixed, as I've tightened it as much as possible and it's still causing some vibrations (I'm using it attached directly to the side of the cage, btw). In any case, it works well enough that I can sleep. As for durability, it seems a bit worn after only 2 months. Then again, it hasn't broken yet. I'm just disappointed this product isn't made sturdy enough to maintain its original quietness after use by my new syrian hamster, who it is supposed to be for (as pictured on the packaging). It could work better for dwarves though. It's also a shame that amazon didn't let me choose the color I got, haha, but that's not really a problem. In the end, if you're looking for a fast, reasonable alternative to a screeching wheel, this will do it. But if you're willing to do some searching online, and maybe spend more money, try getting something else for syrian hamsters. For example: Wodent Wheel (heard lots of great reviews and comes in an 8" size), SAM Lightning Wheel/some other SAM wheels (have a slightly different design from the silent spinner that may work, after all they're also plastic), Karlie Wonderland Wheel (is 8" and silent, but it's wooden, so maybe not the best), etc.

Excellent wheel!
I have five hamsters at the moment so I bought one of these wheels to try it out since one of the wheels is so ridiculously loud it wakes up all the other hamsters and myself sometimes (luckily, I'm a heavy sleeper). It was too smooth for my five month old Robo, Nova, and she ended up flying off it multiple times before I just gave her her old one back. But she also runs at the speed of light and makes very quick stops that this wheel just isn't equipped for. So I put the old, crazy loud wheel back and gave this one to my Robo boy, Brüno. Well he is a wheel fanatic (if he's awake, he's running) and already had a wheel in his cage that was attached to a tube system, but he's approximately a year old (I adopted him from his previous owner who had gotten him from Petsmart so no one really knows how old he is) and he needed another option to use if he couldn't use the tubes as he is getting older. Well this is his favorite thing in the whole wide world. He takes turns running up the tubes to use the high wheel and then running down to use this one and then running up again. He's a little maniac but he's having so much fun so this was a great purchase for him. Then, my Campbell dwarf mother and daughters trio started fighting for no reason so I separated them and I had to move this wheel to one of the new cages and I ordered another of these wheels for the other. Now that everyone is settled, and I have five cages in my room, I will be ordering one more so Brüno can have two wheels in his cage. He was very disappointed when I had to take his new wheel away. Overall, I am entirely pleased with this wheel, and while it's not completely silent, the wheel itself it very smooth and could be very quiet if you don't have little chubby or lightning fast feet zooming on it. My one hamster that briskly walks on it, I don't even hear. But my hamster that goes full speed on it, I hear some shaking and big hamster stomps. But this really isn't an issue considering all the noise I get from Nova's. I am a very happy customer and I will be ordering another!

Best wheel I've tried for hermit crabs
I started with the 4.5" wheel for my hermit crabs. It's the perfect size for my tiny hermit crabs like the one in the video. Someone else was rehoming hermit crabs so now I have 3 larger ones as well. They also love the 4.5" wheel but they're legs tend to go over the sides and they shove eachother off not wanting to wait for their turn.I decided to get a second wheel and figured it may as well be a bigger one. I saw these Kaytee ones were pretty cheap so thought I'd try a 'better' one. Well I tried a different brand that cost twice as much, and one of my crabs got his legs stuck in the holes on the back of the wheel and had to be rescued. So I ended up having to throw that one away (I'd feel bad returning it since they poop on the wheel a lot). I then bought the Kaytee 6.5" instead since I liked the mini so well. I got lucky with the random colors and ended up with the same color as my other wheel. Both sizes are great and I appreciate them more after a different brand flopped. There's no spots for the crabs to get stuck on the wheel. It's super quiet, mostly plastic, easy to clean. I have seen on fb someone else's crab got a leg stuck in the metal stand, but I buried the stand in the substrate since metal and rust are bad for hermits anyway. Now I sometimes see one crab on the smaller wheel and 2 on the big one (not always trying to walk the same direction...). I guess sometimes the more expensive options aren't always better than the cheaper ones that are easier to find.

Dangerous BUT fixable! Silent.
I bought this for my hedgie to use. She loves it! However, the second night of use, she somehow hurt her foot like the other review said. I’m assuming she got her foot pinched in the seam where the wheel splits. Very easy to fix, though! I simply GLUED a piece of masking tape on the inside of the wheel on the seam with waterproof glue. It has stayed on through washings and keeps her feet safe. There are a lot of complaints that I am seeing about the squeakiness. I check the wheel every two or three days for any squeaking and put a generous amount of olive oil (hedgie safe!) on the contraption on the back. There is definitely some resistance to the wheel so, if your pet is used to a loose wheel, it will take some getting used to. However! I find that they get a lot more exercise with this wheel because of the resistance. My biggest complaints are that it is dangerous for little feet unless properly fixed AND, as far as I can see, cannot be tilted so, when they potty, it doesn’t drain out. Keep in mind, THIS IS A 12 INCH WHEEL!! So, yes, it will be too big and resistant for a small hamster.

Needed a "wide" large for my chincilla
They work well and are the most affordable but make sure you get the right size. This was too small for my chinchilla even though it says it is large. You need a large "wide" for larger rodent pets.

Ameeeei!!
A qualidade é muito mais superior do que imaginava, e o diâmetro também está em um tamanho muito bom. Espero que meus gerbils usem e não consigam destruir.Queria ter comprado duas unidades mas essa era a última do estoque :(
