This product is worth your money. The only trouble I’ve had so far was the trimmers getting stuck if you push to hard, but other than that they work great.

Definitely practice a little before trying these out on a full project, just to get the feel for how quickly it runs and how much pressure you need to apply. the guide is super useful and they work really well! Solid quality.

Missing important piece, as advertised there was supposed to be a guide for the shears, but that was not with the packaging. Everything else showed up, however the package was incomplete

The media could not be loaded.  I started rug tufting in January of this year (2023). I've learned by watching lots and lots of YouTube videos and by trial and error.Several tufting artists demonstrate using clippers like these to really make your tufted art look even more finished - either by ensuring the yarn lengths are uniform across the rug or by 'carving' various depths into the rug (e.g. using different sized combs on the same rug).I love this little set. Everything came in one nice sturdy case. It includes instructions (although, I did have to read thru them more than once to understand how to slide the comb onto the unit and even then it took me a bit to realize you want to slide the comb onto the unit in a backwards motion).I experimented with it some this afternoon on a test area at the top of my tufting frame. The first comb was too tall to trim anything so I switched to a lower numbered comb (the lower the #mm, the closer the yarn is being cut to the fabric) and then that worked just fine (see video).I love that it comes with a nice stand too (not shown in photo but is included under the white plastic piece in the box). I will note that this trimmer must be physically plugged into an outlet - it is not USB - and it is not rechargeable. It must remain plugged in during use. This is not an issue for me as I have plenty of outlets in close range of my tufting frame (and I believe most artists choose to trim their rugs as a final step after it's been glued and is off the frame).I'm super happy with this tool. From unboxing to test using in about 10 minutes. Feels very nice in your hand and durable - such a nice wood handle!I'm excited about owning such a nice tufting tool to assist with my rug making and would recommend it to fellow tufters.

The media could not be loaded.  I got these clippers specifically for my dog and they worked good on him. Just make sure to get him/her used to the noise cause these are really loud compared to the ones specifically for pets. Luckily they are a few speeds to choose from and it’s easy to switch speeds on the fly. Only the highest speed worked on my miniature schnauzer so depending on breed you might can use a lower speed. I am very skeptical of the plastic lower blade but after a few times using it. I haven’t had any dulling but only time will tell on how long it will last. It does come with a backup blade head which is nice and will help alleviate some of that skepticism. They feel comfortable holding and very easy to maneuver. I really like the openness of the blades making it easy to clean. Even though I haven’t used it on carpet, they do seem to cut through my dogs long hair fairly easy so they should do a good job there as well. Overall, this is a good set and comes with all the tools needed for carpet or pets.

This tufting clipper set is easy to use and assemble. The clipper itself is a regular hair clipper and the width of the cut you are going to get is just over an inch and a half. Other clippers cut a wider swath, but those clippers are usually a bunch more expensive. This one is a great starter cutter. There are instructions for using the clipper and you can see how to put the "foot" on the clipper by looking at the photos in the listing. It went together easily and quickly. There's a spare blade so that a really nice plus. It comes with a small cleaning brush for the cutting head which you will definitely need. For best results, brush the head out a few times for each rug you trim.This set comes in a nice plastic case that you can use for something else because once you put the clipper assembly together it's not likely you are going to take it apart between uses to store it - and it doesn't fit back into the case assembled.This is a decent set to get you started to see if the "tufting life" is for you.
