Genuine product, preserved the sound profile (ATH-M50x) perfectly.
These pads are an excellent replacement for the stock earpads found on my Audio-Technica ATH-M50x headphones. The fit was perfect (albeit only slightly cumbersome to install), and they are as comfortable as the originals. However, the best part: they do not adversely alter the sound profile of the headphones! Before I settled on these replacement pads, I tried others, some of which looked comfortable (with extra memory foam, felt material, etc.) However, these other pads/brands affected the sound profile of these otherwise stellar headphones in a variety of terrible ways (muffled sound, dampened treble, etc.) I am happy to report these pads perfectly preserve the fantastic sound profile of these headphones with no impact on sound quality. This makes them a solid win, in my opinion. The only downside is: they only come in black, which is a shame if you had another edition of the ATH-M50x (like mine, which originally came with dark brown pads).

Great replacement pads for the AudioTechnica ATH50x
Needed to replace the foam pieces in my 50Tx headphones. Easy to remove the old ones and almost as easy to install the new ones (have to make sure you line it up properly before pulled the ear pieces over the plastic ridge). And the memory foam is very comfortable… even after an hour or two drum practice!

ORIGINAL! EXACT! IDENTICAL!
It can't be made any more plainer...these are the EXACT, IDENTICAL earpads that come with Audio-Technica headphones, in my case, the ATH-M50x! EXACT! IDENTICAL! That simple, people! Not thicker or thinner, bigger or smaller. How do I know? Easy. The packaging says so! What you will receive is a plastic container that clearly says at the top...Audio-Technica! Model HP-EP! And what does that model I.D. mean? HEADPHONE-EARPADS! And on the back of the packaging, Audio-Technica says which headphones these pads are replacements for. And more convincing for me is the fact that that I own two pairs of the ATH-M50x's, one I've had for seven years for my computer to watch movies at night, And another pair only a few months old, to use with my Sony Walkman and fiio headphone amp when I go for walks. I compared these pads with the original pads on both headphones. EXACT! IDENTICAL! So, please don't pay any attention to the reviews that says these earpads change the sound of the headphones. What I suspect is happening is that their old earpads were so thin and worn-down, that the sound was already changing slowly, progressively through the years and the wearer became accustomed to this change in sound. When they finally replaced their worn-out headphone earpads with these AUTHENTIC, ORIGINAL, EXACT, IDENTICAL Audio-Technica headphone earpads (I can't stress that enough), that they are now hearing their headphones as they originally sounded all those years ago when they first bought them. Either that or they installed these replacements wrong, they perhaps damaged the headphone drivers, or they're just one of those people who loves to b!tch and complain about anything, real or imagined. Do yourself a favor: if you need new replacement pads for your Audio-Technica's, then buy these! (Just be sure to check these are for your model of headphones). One thing that helped me get these over the headphone ear piece is to first, twist and unlock your headphone cable to get it out of the way and also, so you won't accidentally damage it. Also, what really helped me was to, after removing the old pads, slide the pad flange into the bottom of the groove on your ear piece, then stick your fingers inside the pad, underneath and behind the pad cushion. So basically, you will have your thumb on the outside of the pad at the flange flap and your fingers on the inside of the pad, underneath the pad cushion so you can pinch your thumb and fingers together to help pull and guide the pad flange flap into the ear piece groove opening. I had my old pads off and my replacements pads on in about five minutes or so. It might feel like you are going to rip the pad by stretching it over the ear piece but it won't, unless you lose you temper and purposely pull and stretch it too far. Take your time, it will fit. hope this info helps someone!

Great fit and feel.
Takes a bit of effort to replace without feeling like I’m going to break something, but the replacement works perfectly.

Exact replacement from Audio Technica! Acousticly transparent...excellent sound quality.
I've had my Audio Technica 50X Headphones for 7 years...& the ear pads finally started to start falling apart. Not bad at all!Anyway, these replacement ear pads are excellent! Plus they're original equipment from Audio Technica. It was VERY important, that they would not negatively affect the sound in any way. After reading reviews on some generic brands, where people said they affected the great sound of these headphones, I went with Audio Technica. I'm glad I did, as they sound perfect...in fact, they seem to sound a little better now with the new cups, maybe because they have a better seal now...yet still comfortable. They were a little hard getting on; around 30 minutes for me, as I wanted it done right. But, overall...these are a great choice for replacement ear pads. Can't beat the quality of Audio Technica! Very happy!!

True OEM replacement - hard to install but results are satisfactory
Replacing existing earpads with these units is a lengthy process. Patience is needed to stretch the liner around the full circumference of each earpiece. Don't be in a hurry when doing this - it will take some time and effort. Results, however, are very satisfactory. The restored headphones look just like new now.
