I live in a 1900 terrace. The floors under the houses are linked, so essentially work as a nice big rat run.Having caught several rats through trapping, they seem to be getting wise to the trap and avoiding them. I could hear several under the floor scurrying and scratching, so wanted a new solution.The device is smaller than I expected. A bit smaller than a smoke detector. They seem reasonably built.I popped in some batteries and showed them to my dogs. They seem to be fine with them so no problem there.Under the floor went the devices, along with some scented deterrents. A couple of weeks later, no rats.I'm not sure though, whether the lack of rats is due to these devices, the scented pouches I also put down, or the fact a neighbour has been using poison too. Time will tell!

being in the country have a rat and mouse problem, i cannot use drastic measures against them, have put down several detterants but of no use, only sonar devices have worked in home, but shed has no electricity so bought these, not sure if they work as heard mice or whatever scrabbling around underneath shed....might take a few days...will keep update

The sonic waves do not bounce off loft insulation so i bought 2. Had the insulation re done because of multiple rat visits and waited for them to return. Once i heard them again, i left the 2 devices on the insulation facing up so they at least bounced the sonic waves off the roof and back down. Rats did not reappear the next day and still no show after a month. NOTE - it says in the instructions that it can take up to 4 weeks to get an area free of rats so dont expect an instant fix in all cases like some others on here have :)

Well I fitted 2 into the eves of my loft. They have been there for 5 days and I've had a rat there every night. Not sure how they are supposed to work in a loft when the floor is covered in loft insulation. Doesn't mention anything about not working properly when there is absorbant material anywhere on the amazon site but as soon as you read the fitting instructions it's on there. I know its only 5 days but I've got no faith at all in them working. I'm no ultrasonic sound expert but if the information on the leaflet was on the amazon site l would not have purchased them.

These were an addition to one I had already purchased for use in our garage, and which is working perfectly.Although item did not arrive on day specified they did arrive the following day and I was notified about date change for delivery.

Have rat problem in garden. Used sprays, straps, small bags of granules- moujjbg kept them away. Bought two of these, put in batteries- placed one on floor inside shed- the other inside a small metal watering can - on its side so item would not get wet. After few days noticed absence of rats! Very pleased. That lasted for about a month. Now have large rat and babies running around garden. Checked item in shed, still flashing red light, but I changed batteries- wait to see. Still using sprays- don't seem to do anything. Have loads of mint planted.Bit disappointed- time will tell. Batteries expensive if need replacing every month.PS even with new batteries adult and baby rat running around within 5" of device, so no not effective- waste of money.

Rats in garden & chicken run.It took a few days. First they moved from one area to another but after buying 2nd set no rats seen since.Product does not claim to be weather proof so they are place in locations protected from rain
