Fun plane to build that looks like a model!
I really like LEGO. I guess you could say that I like the idea of LEGO, because they are so ridiculously expensive to the point that I almost find it disappointing. I told myself I would only be tempted to buy a set if they had a plane worth putting together. Lo and behold, I found this model by a competitor, COBI. If this is an example of the quality and attention to detail you get from COBI, I can’t recommend them enough. Full disclosure, I’m 53 years old and I haven’t bought anything like this in over 40 years. COBI says their bricks are compatible with LEGO, but I honestly could care less. COBI makes reasonably priced items of vehicles that I find interesting to build. The only negative as far as my wife is concerned is that these brick sets do take up a lot of room, so you have to plan ahead as to whether or not you have a place for them to display. Anyway, back to this particular model it resembles an F4U Corsair. The gull wings fold up. It looks awesome. It was fun to assemble. I recommend this item if you’re into models, WWII planes and definitely Corsairs. I’ve already ordered my next COBI brick set, the 747. My wife can’t wait. ;)

One of Cobi’s Best
Overall amazing model. It looks super good, to the point that it doesn’t even look like a brick built model at some angles. Build was straightforward, and the plane is pretty sturdy as well (a big plus, as I also have the COBI F-14 and that one is fragile).

Cool plane
I like this plane. It was fun to build but you need to open all the bags to find the parts you need for each step. The kit comes with two large bags and inside each large bag, there are several smaller bags. Only the large bags are numbered. Some parts needed for the initial steps are not in the first large bag, they are in the second large bag. Other than some difficulty finding a few parts, the plane is easy to build. In the instructions, it is tricky to identify a few parts because of the dark blue color. However, once you look through the parts, you can identify the part indicated in the instructions. The plan is well designed and looks like it should even though it is mostly made of blocks.

Awesome kit
Let's first start off by saying these are building blocks similar to lego... that's it. Cobi's building style and instructions are completely different. There are so many different pieces and some with just a slight difference between them. You really have to pay attention. That being said... this was a nice challenging kit. It almost looks like a model.

A nice relaxing build. Take your time and enjoy the experience.
Nice build. My biggest complaint if any was the landing gear wouldn’t stay on and this kit has the landing gear piece supporting the weight of the entire wing. Other wise it’s a very nice airplane kit for the money. The instructions could be redone so the outlines and type of brick being used was clearer. Lots of blurry drawings that made it fun to figure out what brick it was calling for. I will probably end up super glueing the landing gear to the wings so they don’t keep falling off. I would definitely recommend this for any model airplane or Lego type brick hobbyist. Took me a couple of evening as I was taking my time. Packaging will have you spending time looking for parts.

Very happy plane loving 9yo
My 9yo was in heaven building this plane. Corsairs are his favorite! The build was not difficult for him and the design is pretty spot on. Unfortunately the propeller did not last long. One of the blades broke off shortly after the build. It has been dropped a few times and partially rebuilt without any other pieces breaking. Overall very satisfied with this product.

Looks Great
This set looks great when completed but it is more unstable than other Cobi sets I have put together.

My son loves it
Bought for my son, who does a lot of legos. He did his research and felt Covid was the best brand for WWII aircraft.
