Great value for money, Bosch quality, Pro 3 year warranty if you register it online.
This is a very nice sander indeed: well made, powerful, comfortable and flexible to use ( the ability to lock on, use variable speeds and change hand positions). The sander comes in a sturdy cardboard box, with a dust collection adapter, a sample paper dust bag, a sample sanding disk and the usual wedge of instructions. It feels like quality in the hand: the cable, switch, speed selector dial, the rubber moulding, the plastics: they are all high quality. In use it is very powerful, not too noisy, it produces really professional results ( with quality 150mm perforated disks), dust exctraction is very good with the plstic adapter, better again when connected to a vacuum system. Is it as good as a Festool sander? No, but it is less than half the price of a Festool. You can buy this in various kits which include cases or plastic dust collectors and an auxiliary handle ( which screws onto the front) but in my experience it was massively cheaper to buy the accessories I wanted separately (that handle is less than £4, plastic dust collector is about £10 - the kit was £50 more when I looked).I understand that people can be unhappy that it doesn't come with a hard case/ plastic dust collector/ additional hand grip, but in my experience, this type of tool sits on a workshop bench and is connected to a vacuum dust extractor. I have umpteen hard cases with nothing in them..it is nice not to have to pay for things you don't need/ want. What would be useful is if it came with a trial pack of abrasive disks in different grits: they are excellent, but lots of folks won't try them because they are pricey compared to the no name ones you have to change every 5 minutes....Top tips:1: Try using it with a lambswool hook and loop bonnet (and Lord Sheraton's Caretaker Balsam) to polish wood furniture: low speed, no dust extractor connected: really impressive results and no effort at all.2: Don't forget to register it online within a couple of weeks of receiving it to upgrade your warranty from one year to three years!

Like a Bosch!
This sander is an absolute gem of a tool. Right out of the box, the build quality is impressive—it feels solid and sturdy, like it’s ready to tackle years of DIY abuse without breaking a sweat. One of the standout features is the anti-vibration technology. I’ve used sanders before that left my hands feeling like they were still shaking hours after I’d stopped, but not this one. It’s so smooth I can sand for hours without a problem—though my playlist might need more variety now!The dust collection box is surprisingly effective, catching most of the mess. But I went one step further and hooked it up to my shop vacuum, which turned it into a virtually dust-free setup. Highly recommend doing that if you’ve got the kit—it keeps the workspace tidy and my lungs happy.A quick tip: invest in a pad saver. It’s a thin layer that sits between the sander’s Velcro pad and your sanding discs, taking all the wear and tear so your sander’s pad lasts much longer. Trust me, it’s worth it.The speed control is a nice touch, though, in all honesty, max speed is what I’ve used for most projects. Why mess about when full speed does the job so well?Lastly, don’t forget to register the sander on Bosch’s website. Doing so extends the warranty to three years, which is a no-brainer for a tool like this.Overall, this sander is a fantastic addition to any toolkit. It’s powerful, comfortable, and built to last. Highly recommended for DIYers and pros alike!

Good little sander for the money.Pros: Value for money. Long cable Dust collector works well. Good solid case. Multispeed. Easy to change discs. 3 year warranty. Good finish. Easy to use and change discsCons: Only comes with one sanding disc. not cordless.Overall quite happy, left a good finish and dust collector worked well. Dont use cheap sanding discs as they wont last.

My Go To Sander
I have been using DeWalt, Bosch and Makita sanders for a long time. Belt sanders, orbital sanders, detail sanders and now this random orbital sander from Bosch. The Bosch doesn't stand out as anything special, but it is certainly as good as the others, and it has one advantage in that it comes with a case as standard. Especially if you store your tools in a damp area then a case is absolutely essential. And it's just so much better to have everything organised rather than scattered about the garage in who knows what box!Dust extraction is very good, about the same if not a little better than the DeWalt, Festool, Makita etc. Comes with the filter attached. Twist and pull to remove it to expose the attachment for a vacuum. The filter works very well, but of course adding a vacuum give much better dust collection. The attachment is small because you really need a very light flexible pipe to the vacuum for such a small light sander. The best thing I found was this Karcher adapter, which is sold by Amazon amongst others.."Kärcher Special Suction Hose Power Tools (Diam. 20 Mm / Long. 1 M)"It's a lot cheaper than the Bosch adapter.Vibration for the Bosch is very good indeed. This, I think, is one of the main selling points here. It is not the most powerful, but it certainly has the least vibration.Overall an excellent machine. And if my previous Bosch Pro sanders are to judge by, then it should last a lifetime. The more I have used the sander, the more I like it. It can run for hour after hour and doesn't even get warm. It's very quickly become my "go to" general purpose and finishing sander.
