Works well! Will recommend!
It's not heavy but sharp and sturdy. I tried cutting chicken drumsticks and it cuts very well without much effort. Cutting really went smooth and presice. Definitely does the job. It is also very glossy(?).. I really like this product! I couldn't find the quality rating for the stainless steel (18-10 or sth.. Can I get info on this?) but it looks good as for now.. I hope it doesn't rust.. Handle part is very well made as well. I also like how this doesn't slip out of my hand although it's not a non-slip synthetic runber-like plastic material. Also wanted to have that metal soap thing, I haven't tried it yet, but I hope it works well. The wooden knife cover is very good to have, but because of the wood crumbs(? residue) I had to wash it and thoroughly dry it.

rather a nice knife for the function. very satisfied so far
very nice knife with initial very sharp edge, nice wide blade and decent handle even for a big hand like mine. I got it, washed it yesterday and this morning used it instead of a bread knife to slice two thin slices of my home made bread for toast without any effort whatsoever. It should be easy to sharpen with a water stone as I do my other knives. If you are familiar with water stone sharpening you don't need to bother with the ebook but for the price this looks like a very good bargain. Now to see how long the edge lasts though I have enough knives to see that it is going to become my main chopping knife in the kitchen. I doubt they will stay priced at present prices for long once word gets around. Way better than the price at least so far for me.

Not a good knife
Horrible quality knife. Right from the box it wasn’t sharp. Not terrible but inconvenient. So I sharpened it and it worked fine for about a day. I noticed it wasn’t cutting as smoothly. Checked it out and it was already chipped, and not a tiny chip, I could see it very easily with the naked eye. I feel like it’s hard to make such a low quality steel blade, but they managed to do so.

Chef knife of Superb Quality!
This knife feels like a work of art in my hand, really! It is not only beautiful but nicely balanced, and the riveted wood handle is perfectly smoothe and a comfort to hold. The stainless steel slices through everything thus far, holds its edge, and has needed minimal sharpening but only for a touch - up. I highly recommend this Chef knife and would love to have received this as a gift.

the heel of the knife I received is not straight like the one in the seller's picture
The knife that I received wasn't exactly as the picture posted by the seller. The one I received is a little more fat and wide than seller's picture. This makes the shape looks very ugly in my eyes. Besides, the heel of the knife I received is not straight like the one in the seller's picture. I ordered this knife because the first knife that I ordered finishing quality was low. I am going to get this returned or replace. Other than that, the quality of the material seems to be decent, worth the money. Also, the booklet, as seller states on the website wasn't included either.

Great knife, but damaged packaging
Great knife, works great and perfect for everyday cooking. However when I opened the amazon box both the box around the knife and the presentation case for the knife were completely ripped through. Had to throw away the foam lined case for the knife and stone. Did not bother me as I didn’t really need it but would have been annoying if it was going to be gifted.

Good Buy
I recently got into BBQing and quickly noticed that my current set of knives weren’t very good. I wanted a good knife that would keep its edge and not spend a fortune. This knife was recommended to me and I figured I would give it a try. I’m glad that I did! It feels good in my hand, cuts easily and has kept its sharpness so far. I wanted to use if for a few months before leaving a review and I can honestly recommend it. I purchased both the German steel and the Japanese knife and both are very similar in look, feel and performance so far. The Japanese one does have a nice bamboo box.

I wanted a great knife to cut vegetables and meat
I received the knife. I was excited to get this. I wanted a great knife to cut vegetables and meat. When I opened the package, i found the packaging to be most impressive. Not only was the packaging impressive but the attention to detail on the knife and wooden sheaf are unsurpassed. I look forward to using this knife for years to come. I am sure I will enjoy it. I can tell that the seller of this knife is passionate about his knives and takes great pride in providing an outstanding product. This is the sharpest Knife I ever owned. Im sure I could shave with it. It cuts meat like warm butter. I'm glad I bought this.
