Nikon D3100 Digital SLR Camera with 18-55mm NIKKOR VR Lens - Red (International Model no Warranty)

When it comes to photography and videography this is a must starter. I bought this a couple years ago - and just know reviewing it. But I have used it on more than 1000 occasions. I have since purchased a 55-200 mm and have shot weddings and videos over 150 personal youtube videos. If you are looking for a cheaper camera (since the 3100 is almost a 5 year old model) and it still fits all the nikon lenses and is great for any experience level. I do wish it has a quicker processor, but honestly you get what you pay more. It takes video a lot better than photos. I just shot my mom's wedding this past weekend. buy it for a secondary camera or for something to practice with.

My wife was borrowing my D300 when I bought a D7100. So many buttons that I wanted something easier to use. My brother is a novice and he got one and loves it, learns fast and his shots come out good. My wife has played with it and took some shots but has not really got into it yet. I think it will be perfect for her, does all the cools stuff without all the high end features

I have used a simple point and shoot digital camera for years. I have an old Nikon 35mm with lenses and all but when it became impossible to get film I went to a point and shoot. I have been eyeing this camera for a few years and finally got one. I was not disappointed. This takes great pictures. Very clear and tack sharp. I like the ruby color as its a great change from the basic black. I recommend this camera for all beginners and amateurs.

This was my first DSLR camera ever and I absolutely love it! Came with everything as described and came in a day early! Bought it for a trip back to Ct to visit fam and I took some amazing pics! Looking forward to buy a bigger lens.

I found it difficult to hold ~ bulky in my hands. There is not an auto zoom, which I was very disappointed about. I did not use the camera & returned it. I have carpal-tunnel and can not hold the camera due to its size and it felt heavy. Beautiful camera when I opened the box. Sadly, my search continues...this was not for me :(

I've been wanting this camera for a long time now and now I have it in my hands! The camera takes a while to get use to, but once you get use to it, it works great! It can record videos great too! The mic filters out a lot or most of the ambiance, but you can still a strange humming still, though that isn't a big deal. Everything is still really clear. It is very easy to use and very light in weight.
