Works well. Great tool if you do a lot of 3.6 pentastar work. I do a lot of cam jobs on jeeps this tool gets used frequently. Works perfectly!

Bought this for working on a 2018 dodge durango 3.6l upgraded version. Works well. The cam phaser holders are a little wide but you can give them a gentle tap into place. They will self clearance for future use. Made the job easier with less headaches.

Plastic was soft and not good. When I went to put the timing block in it easily scrapped the teeth. The tool for releasing the pressure bent with little pressure on it. The right side timing to strapped the teeth and cause a slip. I don’t see being able to use this kit more than once if it even works the first time. I bought a different kit and it had hardened plastic. Easily slide in each time I used it.

VERY useful for removing cams on my wife’s jeep! Seriously glad I bought this kit. Just be sure to do your homework in order to figure out which “wedge” tool you need for the specific year. Great kit, and comes with everything you’ll need. Great purchase.

I am currently in the middle of the passenger side job and for the block and wedge tool once you fit in the block you need to just give it a few love taps so it can insert all the way. For the wedge tool locate the left oil bolt for the Guide and wiggle the wedge tool until it latches onto the bolt, once you feel the wedge stop you need to grab a backup wrench tool and put it onto the Hex fitted part on the camshaft , gently rotate it clockwise until you feel a slight turn and hold it there. DO NOT FORCE THE CAMSHAFT TO ROTATE, it should feel like a natural turn. From there, you are going to grab something blunt and tap the top of the wedge until it inserts all the way down and is flush just a few inches above the timing chain. Just be very careful as you do not want the chain to slip or fall out of place. Good luck on the job..

Great product better than expected

This works, but requires minor "adjusting" in order to fit 100% like it should. If you're a DIY'er doing it once, this tool would be ok. If you're a tech and need to use it multiple times, find a kit with all metal pieces.
