Atticus Savitri Ant Gel Bait (4 x 30 Grams) - Indoor and Outdoor Ant Killer

Bait works fairly well. Other products I tried to get rid of carpenter ants were not as good. This gel was not 100 percent effective but better than the rest.

I tried every kind of bait I could find - the Terro stuff that everyone raves about, Advion gel bait stations, the ones you buy in the store... all of it. I made my own with honey and borax, and tried other solutions like sprays, oils, vinegar, everything. I treated the outside of the house as well, unsuccessfully. And they flat out ignored any of the bait stations. I finally had an exterminator come out. He told me to not spray Terro or anything that says "insecticide" because it alerts ants (they can smell it), and then they divide their nests and reproduce rapidly. That's why they'd go away for a few days and come back again... they were hunkering down to reproduce. So, he put some gel bait out in a few spots, and said he'd come back to treat my house once the pesticide sprays have worn off... otherwise it'd just make the problem worse again. I noticed the gel that the exterminator put out was actually attracting the ants! This hadn't happened for me with anything else. I had this Atticus Savitri gel that I hadn't opened yet, and decided to try it because it looked similar to what he was using. I don't know if it contains the same active ingredients. But I do know that it worked with the same level of effectiveness. I put the gel in cracks wherever I saw ants. I also laid out a couple shallow metal jar lids with some bait in it, in areas I didn't want the gel touching. And guess what? The ants LOVE it! Within a couple hours (or in some cases, a couple days), there is a line of ants filling up on this stuff and taking it back to their nest. The line continues for a few days, and then starts to die back. That's when it gets even grosser, but also more gratifying. You will find piles and lines of dead ants in the areas they have been crawling. Whereas before you probably didn't notice all their little highways, now you can see exactly which routes they've been using. And you can vacuum them all up. Ew. I know. Gross... When a bait spot seems to die down, I add more fresh bait, and leave it there. Often more ants will venture in and pick some up, and sometimes another active line will form. It is very creepy and gross, and you need to be prepared to let the ants crawl over places you'd rather not have them. But on the upside, it does keep them going to one place. For example, I put a lid with several dollops of gel bait in the windowsill near my desk. It diverted ALL the ants off my desk and onto the window sill. No more freaking out mid-meeting because I see an ant crawling on my hand. I'm really happy with this stuff so far. It seems to be lessening my ant problem when every other home solution failed. If you have little black ants in your home that are too picky to eat anything you put out so far, give this stuff a try. Just dont spray anything that says "insecticide" on it, and the ants will keep coming and start to die off. It's a commitment and can be hard to stomach. But, at least in my case, it seems to be worth it so far. Possibly helpful details: I live in the Pacific Northwest (north of Seattle). These ants are small and all black, and seem to be attracted to water and warmth, as well as any food crumbs or grease. I can successfully wipe their scent trails away with soapy water, which in some cases helps keep them from traveling across areas I don't want them walking. This helps a lot while I await the home treatment. I hope this helps someone!

Very pleased with this product for a carpenter ant invasion in my Florida apartment. The kit contains 4 syringes and 2 precision nozzles. The most useful thing is the little skinny nozzles that come with it to attach to the syringe. This helped me deliver the product under the baseboards, where I noticed the ants coming from. After using the nozzles I rinsed well and put back in the package to reuse. I did not notice any leaking from the syringes, just take care during application. I used this in conjunction with the Terro liquid ant baits and the more targeted application of thr Atticus Savitri gel bait was able to reach places the plastic Terro trays could not. I noticed an improvement within 3 days and after 5 days I only saw one or two struggling ants. After a week, no more ants! This is a seasonal issue for me, and I used one entire syringe for this particular application, so I have plenty on hand for the future. Image shows the type of ant I was dealing with.

Great product. Eliminates our ant problem within days of them entering our house. I tend to only treat when I see ants, but should probably do more preventative applications. Just beware and save the plunger handle from the first tube before you throw it away like I did! There's only one plunger handle per package of four tubes. I had to resort to using a waded up paper towel to push the gel bait out of the subsequent tubes--a stick or wooden spoon might work as well.

As a skeptical consumer, I love nothing more than truth in advertising. This product worked on DAY 1. I tried several products from the big box stores. They would kill the ants you could see but wouldn't affect the colony. Atticus attracted a large group of ants and DAY 2 they were gone. My advice is to follow the well written instructions to the letter. Thank you Atticus for making my wife happy by getting rid of these pests! Happy wife Happy life!!

We had a lot of what we believed were carpenter ants, and none of the other ant traps we tried seemed to work. We applied a thin layer of this product in the corner where we were seeing them, and within the next few days, the ants were completely gone. It’s now been a week, and we haven’t seen a single one! We’re very impressed with the results and would definitely recommend this product.

I would highly recommend if you have ant issues. The ants eat it right up. I set a few dots around the house inside and outdoors and next to a line of ant trails. It does take a little bit to work but that’s part of the process using this gel.

Wow does this work! Dont use it inside because you'll be calling all the troops inside. I made that mistake. Find the entry point outside and put the bait away from your house a little to pull them away. Check it to make sure it doesnt dry out. It 100% does the trick. Great product! Easy to use with the stoppers and plunger. I keep it in a zip lock after opening because they will find it if not put away. Used it on ghost ants, little black ants, and fire ants. Worked great!
