This stuff is amazing, I feel like it is too good to be true and my stomach will explode in a week or something but, so far, its all perfect. I don't quite understand what 'natural tree syrup' is or why it fills you up and gives you energy (maybe I don't want to know) but it does. I haven't been doing the lemon detox diet as instructed but sort of building up a tolerance to less food by using this stuff more and more often. At first I had the maple lemon water for breakfast and had as late a lunch as possible for a few days, then hat a juice for breakfast and dinner and just had tea at the normal time, then on to the odd full day full lemon detox (maybe one day a week). I find this has worked wonders, I don't feel at all tired or sluggish and, although you sometimes crave food, you are never hungry. Its a million times easier that I thought it would be. I think I have lost 5 lbs this week and am happy to carry on like this indefinitely. It seems a healthier, less restrictive way of doing the detox too I think. I am aware that some people don't seem to like the taste, which would be a big problem, but after the first one I really enjoyed it. I don't use pepper or ginger, just half a lemon squeezed and then dropped in and sometimes a few orange wedges too. It also helps if the water is super cold. I would really recommend anyone struggling with food and mindfulness to give it a try.

I first tried this product a couple of years ago and lost 1lb a day over 14 days so was very happy. Since then use it every few months just to keep the weight off and take off any extra pounds that have crept back on. I love it, and as soon as I taste that first glass! I feel better - I really look forward to it. I sleep better, work better and feel invigorated. I really don't understand the reviews where people say they were nauseous or faint as have never had that side effect. I think much of this is to do with your state of mind. Plan when you're going to do it and don't be tempted into situations where you may crack and you will see great effects. It will work if you do it. One tip though, if you do the 14 day plan, make sure you wean yourself back onto normal food gradually as per the instructions, or you will be ill!

I've been wanting to try this diet for years and I've finally plucked up the will to do it. This is my first day so fingers crossed I'll last 10-14 but wanted to write a review to let people know that it tastes fine! Just like watered down toffee sauce you get on a toffee sponge cake. I feel hungry but that's because my stomach is so stretched from all the junk I eat so no wonder! I don't have any headaches as yet and I think they mainly happen for people who drink a lot of caffeine as the amount of water you have to drink alongside this diet would stop dehydration headaches! My boyfriend is joining me on this detox/diet but doing the relaxed version where he has a light, healthy lunch but about 3-5 glasses of this for the rest of the day. So just ordered another tin of this syrup to get us both through the next two weeks. If you're really not sure you'll like the taste buy some normal maple syrup and make a serving of it with warm water (2 tbs to 8oz water) and if you can drunk that you'll be fine with this! I'm using lemon and cayenne pepper too which tastes fine but don't really notice them apart from at the end where the pepper gives it a small kick. I'm starting at 12st 2 and he is 16st 4. Will update in a fortnight if we succeed!

This will work perfectly for those that are mentally prepared. More than anything this product is a detox(cleanse) and is perfect for those that smoke or drink as it strips your body of all the bad toxins provided u do it properly, it also strips your body of any access body fat. I've done this detox on many occasions and always get good results u feel vibrant, skin looks great & if u have any access fat u will loose it hence I do this detox at least once sometimes twice a year for the last 4 years & swear by it...some times I've lost up to a stone in one wk and yes I've managed to keep at least 10lbs of it off due to healthy eating & exercise as the detox is a great stepping stone for a healthy life style & there are times I've only lost a few lbs simply because I haven't had any fat to loose so it varies in regards to losing weight but if u have the fat to loose it will definitely be stripped with the detox... Started on the Monday , I mixed 200g (weighed) of the syrup with water and cayenne and lemon. Do add more lemon to alter taste. - this gave 600 calories. I allowed myself to eat/drink another 300-350 cals - usually a skinny cappuccino, couple slices toast . Weighed myself Thursday morning after 3 full days and I’d lost nearly 3lb. I will continue 3 days a week each week until target weight of 10 stone. I gave birth 6 months ago and I’ve done different diets/ exercise and beginning feb I couldn’t get past 11stone. I’m talking 30 mins exercise on treadmill 4 times a week and I’d lose a bit but it would go back on. Because my body is used to drinking lots and not stuffing face, my appetite has changed since doing this . I no longer eat because bored , I eat when hungry and I drink lots. I’ve bought another bottle so will update after week 3 of doing it (3 days a week) Update / I’m now down to 10st 6 (3rd May) , I’m not doing any exercise and I’m still eating a takeaway once a week and still 400 calls a day with 200g of this mixed - 4 days a week with the other 3 days as ‘normal ‘ .

Make sure that you have fasted ever before otherwise it’s very hard. At least for me. Also the syrup is very sweet so make sure you have measurement glass handy to get the right amount.

Madal Bal natural tree syrup is a niche product that works great. Better than organic maple. Enriched syrup from a combination of trees. This is my secret to a successful Master Cleanse., Been using for decades, long before Queen B found it. Love her but she made it more expensive.
