It does what it's supposed to do very well.
I have a 1999 Honda Goldwing SE and the Freewire works flawlessly! My fellow 'Wing riders all said that my CB was very clear. This is a group of people who are much older than me, so if they can clearly hear my radio, then anyone can. Now, the big catch is that you have to have the 5-pin DIN cable. That cable plugs into the CB/Intercom plug, which then plugs into the Freewire. Fortunately, I bought a DIN cable when I bought my Sena a few years ago. If you do have one, then YOU HAVE TO BUY ONE when you buy the Freewire. I don't know why it doesn't come in the kit, that feels like a pretty big oversight by Sena. I plugged the DIN cable into the Wing, plugged that into the Freewire, turned the Freewire on and then put it in pairing mode, then turned my Sena on and put it in pairing mode, and they paired right up. When I did the initial connection, I made my phone "forget" about the Sena, just so the Sena was not trying to connect with too many things at once. I then reconnected my phone again, and it was great. However, you probably don't need to do the extra step. Now, I don't listen to music over my Sena, as my Wing has a great system, and I don't want to wear the Sena battery down, especially on long rides where I need my radio all day. Let me hit the checklist: 1. Connectivity was easy. 2. The instructions are very minimal and could be better. 3. I got mine on sale (200 instead of 250), and I feel like it was worth it. However, the device is pretty old and I feel like the price could be better. 4. The sound quality, at least as it relates to the CB, is great. Good luck and safe journeys.
