Sony PlayStation 4 500GB Console - White

Took the opportunity to upgrade from my older ps4 to this revised model. Imo this looks great in the all matte white finish, better than the glossy hard drive cover of the older model. Runs quieter too, but not exactly sure how much with the standard HDD as I put an SSD in as soon as it was out the box. Change to physical buttons instead of the touch capacitive ones (no more auto eject problems). All in I'd say its a better console, but whether you think it's worth buying to replace an older console is more a personal choice. If you're thinking of getting a ps4 for the first time, buy this one

Clean and refined and makes a welcome change to the matte black consoles around. I am not sure whether I had a defective unit overall or whether other people have had the problems suffered with mine but something I plan on looking into. From day one I had issues with the controller but it took approx 3 months to reach it's worst which I then reported to Amazon, it would charge quickly and show full but in 30-45 mins would drain and require recharge. This was resolved by Amazon and the replacement one now last's at least 3 hours without needing a recharge so likely defective from new. The other issue is heat dissipation, which is currently still occurs, despite more than ample space behind the console and not being kept enclosed in a tv unit or anything - just on an open table it gets quite hot. Maybe I got a bad one. I had previously owned PS1, 2 & 3 then an XB1 but found the size and features of the PS4 more appealing, just a shame the dualshock 4 doesn't feel as comfortable in the hand after an hour or more of gaming however the benefits of Playstation far outweigh what an XB1 can offer in my opinion. I don't game daily anymore but can't wait until consoles can catch up with the performance of PC gaming and of course the upcoming PS VR. I'll likely sell this to fund the new PS Pro as 500gb if you play a lot of games and like to switch between them isn't quite enough. If like me you are like that then undoubtedly go straight for the 1tb version. Even with given problems its hard not to recommend.

An excellent station to facilitate play.Use it actually more as a portal for Netflix and the like and that also works without issue (would be nice if Sony realised an official media remote though).I like the white personally so that was a bonus.Very disappointed that it isn't backwards compatible with PS3 discs, but then I guess I'm also disappointed it doesn't make and serve me pizzas on demand. It's a great piece of kit that hopefully won't be obsolete for a few years yet.

Absolutely brilliant condition very happy only downfall is that it could have done with a little clean but that’s not major definitely 5 star

Bought this console as new for my 10 year old son for Christmas. It stopped working after a few days for no reason. Contacted seller and was told I have to send back all contents that was in the box and the box can not be damaged otherwise nothing they can do. My son damaged the box unwrapping it with excitement. Now his main present is not usable and I’m hundreds of pounds out of packet. Being I’m registered disabled I can’t afford to buy another one for him straight away and it will take a few months of saving up again. Ruined my sons Christmas. Totally avoid.

I bought it cause I am a huge fan of Monster Hunter and it perfoms insanely. White colour on controller and console makes them unique and pretty. I boughr it from Warehouse Deals and everything is fine, as new.

Arrived a little bit late but was in perfect condition upon arrival.Console itself is great. Controllers are definitely the best version of the DualShocks yet and the machine is a powerhouse. Haven't gotten much use out of it yet but overall quite impressed

Ordered this glacier white PlayStation 4 but was sent a jet black one instead, I don't really mind but would have preferred white. The PlayStation itself is great. I have an Xbox one also and I think the PlayStation is much better as just the home screen is way more responsive and less buggy than Xbox.I would recommend this product 10/10
