I had high hopes for this DFPlayer Mini for my Arduino robot project, but it ended up being more frustrating than helpful. Yes, it technically works — it can play MP3 files off a microSD card and connect to a speaker — but getting it to run reliably was another story. Even after following tutorials and using the right libraries, I ran into issues like random playback failures, sound cutting out, or it just not responding at all unless I reset the board. I also had to use extra capacitors and resistors to reduce noise or voltage issues. For a beginner or anyone hoping for plug-and-play, this isn’t it. 🟢 What’s good: Compact and affordable Plays MP3 files with decent audio quality Has potential when it does work 🔴 What’s not so good: Very sensitive to power supply issues Needs a clean wiring setup and extra components to run stably No official documentation — third-party help only Doesn’t always respond reliably, even with correct code I wouldn’t recommend this unless you're experienced with debugging Arduino circuits and have the patience to tweak things. For something more beginner-friendly, I’d look for a sound module with better documentation and less trial-and-error.

Utilisé dans un projet avec des fichiers MP3, il fonctionne parfaitement. Il se pilote très bien avec un Arduino Nano.

Con 3 pulsanti per gestirlo e un sistema a doppie casse collegate al DAC del modulo è stato una sorpresa sentire la qualità dei suoni riprodotti. Davvero un buon prodotto!
