Works well
Had no issues coding the key to a discovery 3 using an Autel diagnostics. Rather than get the blade cut I swapped in the existing blade from my old, broken fob - this did however require some filing as the measurements are not exact. Will likely buy another to have a full set of keys as the fob itself works perfectly.

Fitting the old key was a pain
Key fob is good, looks nice, great quality. Video extremely helpful and worth a watch. Would advise some sort of vice to help as it’s quite fiddly. Old key had to be skimmed down with an angle grinder, potentially the age of the key but could be a tight fit from a manufacturers side. You get a file in the kit but I had to take about 2mm off the back of my old key blade, and filing would have taken hours. Overall looks great and very happy. Cheers

You get what you pay for.....
Appears quite robust, but needed some slight adjustments to make it fit. On one side of the case the circular mounting point on which the key blade swivels was too big to fit the swivel socket in the blade so had to be filed carefully down until it would fit. (The other side was fine). So only three stars. I suppose you get what you pay for!

Watch the video before you try to swap the blade over!
I have given this 4 stars since unlike some other replacement fob cases for a Discovery 3 this one is supported by an instructional video and all the tools needed to swap the blade over from the old case, which is a bit of a faff. You need to remove the blade from the old silver hinge, and the one supplied with the case, and insert to old blade into the new hinge supplied with this case. This involves removing and replacing the pins securing the blades to the hinge. I've not give 5 stars since the electronics (PC) board are quite a loose fit and really need some padding around to prevent them rattling around in the case. I used some blu-tak around the edges of the PC board for this, which has worked OK.

Brilliant bit of kit?
Finally got both of my Range Rover keys repaired. Was able to use this kit on the previous one I bought without the tools. Shame you can’t just swap the old key into the new housing like I originally assumed but this kit makes it easy to remove your key shaft & change it for the blank that comes with it. Just follow the clear video instructions.

Range Rover key case replacement
It was perfect, so easy to change about five minutes. But you must watch YouTube a couple of times and borrow a circlip pliers. PLEASE WATCH THE YOUTUBE VIDEO WHICH USES THE CIRCLIP PLIERS. Believe me it is a walk in the park.
