Excellent Microwave Plate for Fish and Bacon
Interesting, I purchased this with a view to cooking bacon in the microwave (it did come up in the search for microwaving bacon). When I looked at the instructions that came with it they said not to be used with fatty foods such as bacon. Hmm, anyway as we buy lean cut bacon I thought I would give it ago - perfect. There was no distortion of the plate or rack and the bacon was cooked in about a minute - no spitting cooking oil/fat and no frying pan to clean, just a quick wash in hot water. As to cooking fish, I tried small salmon steaks (I'm not that rich) and they were perfect in about a minute, still soft and flaky, without too much fishy smell lingering about for hours. I'm really pleased with this purchase and would recommend it.

Good size for an individual serving
The build quality of this is very good and up to the standard of other products in this range. Probably the best quality microwave cookware I have owned. This plate fits just nicely in my microwave and is about as large as I would want to put on the turntable without the risk of catching. The slotted insert is good for draining excess liquids or for putting a little water in for a steam effect. I mainly use this plate for reheating meals and I find by putting a small amount of water in the bottom it really helps stop the veggies from drying out and the gravy from turning to rubber where it has coated the food. I am sure you could use this plate for lots of different things but for me the ability to reheat my Sunday dinner is all I need it for.

Sistema Microwave Large Plate | 1.3 L | Microwave Container.
This wasn't quite as large as I would have liked, as it is just too small for my dinner plate – though that was my fault in not measuring it before purchase. It's nevertheless a good container; it comes with an insert tray for steaming and has locks on all four sides and a venting hole on the cover; I got it for microwaving fish and vegetables, but it's a versatile item and has a good capacity. It's still a useful addition to my kitchen and has been okay so far.

An excellent product
I bought this for my husband who likes to have a piece of fish for his dinner occasionally. I am a vegetarian and don't eat fish and do not like the smell. However, this Sistema tray was just right for us. My husband said the fish was cooked perfectly and it diminished the smell of the fish in the microwave. Easy to use and easy to clean. I bought the smallest one but now wish I had purchased a larger one so that he could put some veggies in with his fish. A very good and tried product.

I love these.
I originally bought two of these - one for my daughter's partner to take to work - he puts it flat in the bottom of a plastic carrier bag with his other gear on top so it stays level. He'd take left over casserole or such from evening before to eat at lunch time. The other I used for all sorts of things. Later I bought three more so we could take them on picnics for the 4 of us - storing individual foodstuff items each with a lid on and later share the contents out on to the four plates. They have all been used frequently with no problems both in the microwave and out. One thing I did find though after I microwaved some "cook in a pouch" long grain rice in it's own pouch and then replaced the pouch with the Sistema 1.3 Litre plate with curry just on one side of the plate - lid on and vent open - to heat up the curry and keeping the rice on the worktop. The curry had more body than liquid and stayed on the one half of the plate where I placed it. I like to heat the rice in its own pouch or similar and not have the curry and the rice mixing together while cooking. On taking the plate out of the microwave after 3 or 4 minutes and removing the lid I found the base had warped - not cracked or damaged except for being bent. I can still eat of it and I use the bent plate whenever I heat curry these days. I can only assume that having the curry on just one side of the plate meant that side of the plate had got hotter on that side than the other - THOUGH THE LID STILL FITS ON SECURELY. This has not happened with any of the other plates or Sistema products probably because I now make sure the food is evenly distributed or at least foods with a fat content are spread out over the as they tend to get hotter. Already pleased with the rest of the 4 plates - I bought another to replace the damaged one so I had still had four perfect plates and so keep the warped one for similar heat-ups.

Fantastic product
Love these, so much easier to eat from than other Tupperware and being a steamer as well comes in handy. I use these pretty much daily for work and they go in both microwaves and dishwasher daily and are completely fine. I think it is pretty leak proof but haven't fully tested that, for me i just want it to carry my food safely which is does great. My partner really likes hers as well for the same reasons.

Good quality, a bit shallow. It really is designed as a plate
Good quality like all the Sistema pots I own, although some are prone to staining. Sistema pots are BPA free which is very reassuring to a man :) and impacted on my purchase choice. Only disappointment is that I didn't take the product name 'plate' into account. This item is wide and very shallow. It is good as a plate to reheat food and eat straight from the microwave but I would recommend one of the deeper Sistema pots for actual cooking. I'm keeping it though, perfect to take a portion of food to work for lunch. Watertight so far but not sure how that will hold up after a few turns in the microwave. Some of the lids on my older Sistema pots do allow the contents to drip out if not held upright.

I love it. Flatter is better with Sistema
I have quite a few of these Sistema products. I've been reluctant to review the deeper ones because I always take the plastic tray out which comes with them. The tray is supposed to be the science behind the steam cooking, but I don't want extra washing up of hard to reach lines and crannies, so I take it out. But with the flatter models, without the tray, these things cook brilliantly and evenly. I like to microwave jar sauces (curry, chinese etc) with frozen veg, and frozen prawns added. I freeze the contents the night before, and take them to work for night shifts. 10 minutes in the microwave, a quick stir and another 5 minutes, and a decent meal on the go is piping hot If anyone is in the office late, they instantly are drawn to the smell and are envious of what you're eating, like I've prepared a great dish. All I've done is added ingredients which cost about 2 pounds, and makes for a better night shift over putting 2 pounds in a vending machine on crisps chocolate and cans (or takeaway) I do have a 3 litre Sistema plate, but the depth and the distance of the food to lid, mean it becomes a chore trying to get everything even. I know I don't use the aided plastic tray, but with the flatter models, you really feel that the heat is trapped over a wider area and is properly pressure cooking your meal

Well Made Sistema Products Work Very Well In Microwave With No Spills or Mess
I first tried Sistema Noodle Bowl about a year ago. My husband passed away suddenly and unexpectedly two years ago and three days before that my knee replacement failed tearing my leg opened from my knee almost down to the top of my ankle. I was taken by helicopter to my Medical Center where some very excellent doctors saved both my life and my leg. There is some weakness so I use a rollator to get around my home. I tend to be klutzy anyway, and when I want to take my meals in the living room when I am eating alone, sometimes things happen. With beige carpeting I try to prevent disasters whenever I can. The Sistema Noodle bowl was great for soups, pasta and oatmeal or cereals. I love the way the sides clip firmly so there is no way of spills and when microwaving, the rocker vents in the covers work well because after leaving the vent open while cooking for steam to escape, it can be clipped shut for transporting. I decided to try a few of the other products so I purchased this plate for meals. It is the perfect size, because I am dieting and it makes it easier for portion control. For someone who want more food on their plates there is also a large size plate. There is also a soup cup that is ample enough to hold a Progresso or Campbell's Homestyle soup contents. I also purchased the porridge bowl for hot cereals. All have that steam vent and I haven't had any food disasters using them. They would also be good when bringing leftovers to work for lunch. I have found the clips to be strong and stay firmly closed. They wash up well, and I have to say that I wash them by hand, so I am not sure how well they would hold up in the dishwasher, although since they are dishwasher safe there should not be a problem if washed as directed. They are also freezer safe so you could freeze food and microwave the food all in the same container. The only problem, although it is such an insignificant problem that it doesn't warrant taking away a star from the review of the actual plate, is that with a lot of the products, you cannot choose the color. It is kind of weird because you can't get a set of the same colors to match. I got a red plate, a purple noodle bowl a red soup cup and a bright blue porridge bowl. At least all the colors are nice so it isn't a problem for me but someone else might have to search to find sellers who sell by the color. If I find that if there is a change in my initial assessment of this plate, I will come back and update my review.

Fungerar bra
Lite svårt att få upp "gallret" i botten. Vore bra men något "grepp" när man skall lyfta upp det med matvaror på
