Perfect replacement for Honeywell power head
This unit is compatible with the original Honeywell power head for the V4073A valve and in some ways is built to a better standard, for example it has a proper plastic insulation tray under and around the electric circuit board instead of a piece of folded card. Operation is smooth and quiet.

Good value for money
I originally replaced the actuator on an existing honeywell mid position valve, as it happened the valve itself had seized and wound up replacing the valve body aswell, which also wasn't a problem as both were a straight swap .

Does the job
Whilst it didn't solve my problem(think I need new valve as well) it was easy to fit and wire up and appears to work well. Next stage is work out how to change the valve without flooding the house🫣

As good as the original!
A proper plastic shroud around the circuit board instead of some cheap cardboard that the old Honeywell one had. The only downside is that the cover isn’t directly earthed to the case but it’s in metal to metal contact so the risk of a shock would be minimal, just don’t go removing it without isolating the power, which you should never do anyway! Works fine so we’ll see about reliability but the last honeywell unit I had only lasted about a year or two.Pro tip: If replacing a Honeywell unit, save the torx fasteners. It makes installing much easier if you can’t see both mounting fasteners!

3 way valve actuator
Easy to fit onto the 3 way valve. Works OK. Good delivery

Bad experience, hence returned within a day.
Buy cheap, buy twice. My Honeywell valve was causing problems, so for speed I plumped for this replacement valve head.Mechanically it fitted the main valve body, but the innards were poor.As the motor rotates the shaft for this valve, a cam rotates round and works two microswitches. Trouble was, the cam could rotate on the shaft reasonably easily. This might be a one-off, and mistakes are only human, but there surely is a reason for this valve to be a third of the price of the matching Honeywell valve heads...So, not for me. Returned within a day.

Danfoss style switch - NOT FAULTY
Easy drop in. Some reviews complain about the switch not operating when the lever is moved to manual. This is correct! The manual lever will open the water flow but not operate the switch, to allow drain down. The switch closes only when the motor is activated. Some manufacturers have the switch operate when the lever is manually operated, but this head is for Danfoss replacement - this is not a fault!

Medium quality
As others have said, the microswitch doesn't quite get activated by the lever manually. I did wire it before fitting and checked that the motor did activate the switch but now I have fitted it it is still intermittently not activating the boiler output so I need to take it back off and modify the activation point of the lever, as others have done. It also self heats quite a bit from the motor even when no hot water passing so may not last long.
