A necessary read if you have read Proof of Heaven.
I read Proof of Heaven and initially was disturbed by Eban's experiences in the Earth world view. Then I read the rest of the account and was initially reassured. However I read quickly, with out much thought or analysis as I just wanted to find out 'what happened'.After finishing the book I decided to read it more objectively again which I did a few months later. This time I was disturbed enough to look for other opinions/reviews on it. This book by Coleman Luck actually discusses a lot of what made me so uneasy about Proof of Heaven and I think everyone should read this. It clarifies what the Bible says and also makes me very aware of how easily we can be mislead.

Thé Coleman Luck Biblical viewpoint
The author described what Doctor Eder Alexander encountered during his coma as something somehow linked to false and pure imagination which is shocking.Instead he privileged the idea that Satan is the one who might have created such things to lure us from reality and faith in Jesus.Doctor Eder Alexander is a celebrity in the domaine of neuroscience like many other scientists who’re actually conceding that there’s an afterlife giving us hope that death isn’t the end of everything and the fact that NDE has opened a new door for research about what means conscience. In contrary you have people who do not believe in such protocol.

making the crooked ways straight
I liked the way this book used the bible as a measuring stick. It truly showed up the 'lies' in Eben Alexander's book. What a pity that such a good man has been duped. How cruel.I had read the book uncritically a few years ago and Coleman Luck has persuaded me that all this talk of heaven need not refer to the heaven of Jesus Christ. It would be interesting if Coleman Luck did a comparative study on Return from Tomorrow, which IS a Christocentric account of return from the dead.Thank you.

Not what I hoped for.
When I read the sample of this book I thought it would be interesting and indeed informative to hear what a 'mentalist' would make of the proof of heaven story. Unfortunately the author then goes on to quote scripture and then completely mis-translate the bible as an excuse to put down Dr Alexander's experience as a satanic/evil occurrence. Which is as laughable as Mr Luck's pathetic attempt at explaining scripture then using fear to gather people into his warped view.Whether proof of heaven is fact or fiction, the message is clear - hope.Coleman luck uses this book for another message - fear. The same principle used to create terror.Don't waste a penny on buying this nonsense.
