Smith Wigglesworth: A Man Who Walked With God (Living Classics)

Smith Wigglesworth Judd one of my Spiritual hero's he lives by example of what he taught . This records accounts of his life that he spent with the author George Stormont another man of Faith. I love to great of His life and this is a uplifting and motivational even though he has since gone to His Heavenly Father as He would have put it his life still touches thousands of lives today I think that's very much an understatement. The end of the book shares one of His many sermons this is one He spoke in New Zealand a man who started work at 7 picking turnips to a World renowned Speaker he may have his detractors but jealous and methods may lead to questions I feel he's answered them all and has heard the words well done good and faithfully servant come into My arms. Spoken in Heaven a place he loved and a Father He adored. This book explores some of this and I loved every page specially when challenged.

A book I will cherish, share and cherish again when I revisi and re-read. Straight talking, great teaching, a powerful man of God, so full of love and fear of the Lord, one can only take heed and endeavour to follow in the search for closeness with God. This book has set me on a clearer path to help lead others to Salvation while glorifying our heavenly Father. To the finish line let's fix our eyes on Jesus, our Lord and Saviour.

Delivery was swift and the book was in excellent condition. I bought this as a gift for my partner who has enjoyed and learnt allot from the book. I read the first page before giving it away and it seemed very interesting. I'm next in line to read this book and am looking forward to it.

Outstanding story of a man who walked in intimacy with God, not an easy man to be around and also not a subtle man, but a straight forward man who obeyed God at all costs, inspiring and very real. "these days I might not be able to pray for half an hour, but there is rarely half an hour where I did not pray" wonderful stuff. Not done in any kind of hero worship, but in realism in anecdotes and reports that describe the man and his intimacy with Christ and full of the Holy Spirit and in awe of The Father...then the subsequant powerful ministry that flowed from that. Also there are brief insights into the grief in him that showed the high cost of his incredible ministry. But above all for me, is the story of "a man who walked with God".

A good read so far.His confidence in God's word is exemplary.

So inspirational to read about servants of the Lord Jesus Christ moving so powerfully in the ministry, and this not long ago!

When you read a book like this you are almost in tears about how far we've moved away from God.

There was nothing I didn't like about this book, and would recommend it to any Bible believing Christian.

Loved it inspired me as it will inspire you. A must read for all Christians. Don't delay read it now!

This is not only the best book I've read about Smith Wigglesworth--in that it benefited me spiritually--but I actually found it more beneficial than reading Wigglesworth's own books. I found the story of his life to be more instructive (for me) than reading what he had to say. Perhaps what he had to say is too far above me for me to really understand thoroughly. I'm not talking about intellectually, of course, but spiritually. I've read his "collected teachings" and will read again, but I know I am missing much of what he is saying. His life, however, taught me so much, and I think the author portrayed it beautifully in letting it speak for itself, yet adding just enough interpretation to make it more meaningful to the reader. Something that bothered me at first was Smith saying that the Lord said He was going to "burn up" every bit of Smith Wigglesworth until only Jesus was left. I know the Lord values our individuality. He created us to be individuals, and I believe the closer we come to Him, the more our individuality shows. And certainly Smith had a very distinctive personality, as was pointed out in this book. I realized later that the part of me that God wants to "burn up" is the part that is not good, the part that is blocking the true individual personality from full expression. The more yielded I am to Jesus, the more distinctively MYSELF I am. That is why Smith Wigglesworth was such a strongly individualistic person--he let the Lord get rid of a lot of the stuff that was clouding his true self. I know that Smith sometimes used what I am sure were inappropriate ways to release his faith for people's healing, but he knew when he was truly operating in faith and therefore had no failures. Oh, to know that kind of faith! His example is to live with a continuous awareness of the God's presence.
