Rain-X RAIN REPELLENT & ANTI FOG- WINDSCREEN/WINDOW

Rather than using this on the car I have used it on my bathroom mirror to stop it steaming up when I am in the shower. An amazing result!

I had used rain-x in my washer once before and new it basically did a great job, but thought I'd try the non-screenwash version. Now, at last, it's rained and it works very well indeed. I was able to drive 12 miles in light rain, but at speed, only needing to put the wipers on when the speed dropped at a roundabout. The anti-fog also works very well, although the smell reminded me of something... glass cleaner, which of course is exactly what it is. Some people have reported problems which appears to be through a lack of common sense (like trying to put it on to an already fogging windscreen that I read one respondent was trying) or not following application instructions. Mist droplets require something around which to condense, so use lint free cloth

Wasn't at all sure as to how well these two products would cope. I can say I am very happy with the rain ex, even though I had hoped the rain would run off and I would be left with simply clear windows when I leave for work in the mornings. I still need to squeegee the windows but the windows are then free from rain. The fog ex works, but not as well as I had hoped. Most mornings my van is fog free; this is what I brought the product for... but after reading reviews I had hoped that my bathroom mirror might have worked but alas... also the only time I have slept in the van (mid conversion to camper) the Fog-ex couldn't cope; it does however clear quickly and then remain clear. So ultimately I am very happy with both products.

Rain repellent is good, but unfortunately the anti fog solution is not great at all, very cumbersome to apply, buff etc. Then still leaves streaks and misted up windows

I picked up the duel Rain-X pack to treat all my car windows for the upcoming winter. Application: The application of the rain repellent is easy and quick, you simple wipe the Rain-X onto the clean glass and once its dry buff off with a clean cloth. The Anti-fog is a little harder as it involves bending in some funny angles to reach the deeper corners of your windows, but once its on it stops you needing to do that all winter to cure figged up windows. so its not all bad. The result: After a couple of medium-heavy rain falls the products have coped well, keeping the windows clearer and better for driving. I also coated my headlights and they have stayed a little cleaner for longer. Would I reccomend it to a friend? Yes, its a cheap solution to a common problem, and adds a little safety to driving too.

The anti fog made the windows foggy, even after several wipe downs after and the water repellent repelled nothing. Also, the bottles have special anti spill nozzles on a hair trigger. So you squeeze gently and it sprays a jet of fluid across the car and me.

The detractors nearly stopped me from purchasing this product - so glad I went with my gut feeling. The repellent is unbelievable! After applying two coats to my windscreen then driving in heavy rain the affect was startling, I barely had to use my wipers on a 30mph road! The anti fog was also breathtaking - literally. Not a sign of misting up. I think the poor reviews are from people who are not applying the product correctly??? I cleaned the glass throughly using a very good cleaner, I then applied the Rain-X products using good quality kitchen towels which I also used for buffing-off. I won't lie it does take a bit of elbow grease and if you don't like hard work don't bother! If your not averse to a bit of graft then I wouldn't hesitate purchasing this product.

The rain repellent works find - and the faster you go, the better the screen clears - water just runs off like the proverbial duck's back and you hardly need the wipers on. I'm very happy with this part of the order. The anti-fog however, did not come up to expectations and didn't seem to help at all with misting-up of the windscreen, so I won't be re-ordering it. I really do suggest that you get the Rain Repellent though, if it's available separately - it's good!
