This is the second time I have ordered the Crucial 8GB Ram - I have two older Acer Aspire 1 A111-31-C56Q laptops, and upon replacing the original 2 GB Ram with the 8Gb, what a difference!The boot up speed and simply browsing the internet, the speed difference is brilliant.If you have a computer with low Ram, then this item would certainly help speed the computer up. There are videos which will show how simple it is to install - well worth it. ( Please always check that the Ram is compatible with your particular computer as there are different options one can choose from)

Bought for an older (2017 Dell XPS15) after one of the RAM modules failed. Got the same speed as specified in the laptop spec due to the age and some comments online about faster speed RAM (often cheaper) causing issues in some cases. Replaced both modules to avoid any compatibility issues. Works fine.

I had previously ordered one of these direct from Crucial for my son's Lenovo Ideapad 3, but it took 3 weeks to arrive and cost more too. Wish I'd thought to check amazon first. My daughter has the same laptop so when I saw the price on amazon it made sense to do the same. It's such an easy upgrade and makes a big difference. It takes about 5 mins to unscrew the bottom cover of the laptop which gives you access to the ram chip, you just need to unclip it, replace it with this one (you can't get it wrong) and reinstall the cover. You just need a small philips head screwdriver and maybe a couple of guitar picks or a blunt knife to help remove the cover and you're away. There are tutorials on youtube too but it's so easy you might not need them.

I use Arch Linux (by the way) and neovim (by the way). However, for my cybersecurity researches I need to run Windows (embarrassing) on a virtual machine. With 8GBs of RAM In order to start VM I had to close every application on my host OS. But now, with 16GBs of memory by Crucial I can run a VM with windows without any problems. Install is very easy. Thanks! And don't tell my Linux fellows I have to run Windows, pls :*
