Magnetic Craft 3m Self-Adhesive Magnet Strip Roll (Pack of 2)

Bought for a job which this stuff isn't "man" enough for which is disappointing but it may come in useful

This product leaves a lot to be desired regarding quality control.The first time I bought this product (I bought 2 packs (total 12 meters) at 9 October, 2012) I received a tape with very good adhesive and magnetism - the adhesive was really good because it sticked well to surfaces but could easily be removed without disintegrating and could be used several times without losing it's adhesive strength and integrity. The magnetic force was very reasonable as well.The finish of the tape was also very good with a very uniform looking magnetic side, color was similar to dark red marron or very dark magenta and it was very smooth to the touch, it didn't feel rubbery.The price of this pack of 2 tapes at the time (just a bit more than 6£) was very competitive compared to a single 3 meters unit.Since I found this tape to be very good for my application I decided to buy 1 more pack, at 30 October, 2012.But what I received was a tape of very different quality which didn't stand to the standards of the first 2 packs I bought.I noticed right away that the plastic casing of the tapes was different from the first tapes I received, the plastic here was of the stiff type, very different from the plastic that encased the first two pairs I bought, here the plastic was very malleable and was comformed/sculpted to the form of the rolled tape with very little air inside.The adhesive was horrible, it sticked very well to surfaces but the it didn't have a good integrity, it would disintegrate right after it's first application... after the third use, the adhesive was completely ripped away from the tape. The magnetism was also much weaker.The finish of the tape was different giving me the impression of different manufacturing process...The magnetic side looked rawer and less "finished", the color was more grayish. It felt very different to the touch, much more rubbery not as smooth as the first packs I bought.And the funny part is that the price of the pack was higher this time, 8.99£... how is this possible?I was very disappointed with this second purchase and since the durability of the tape was so short I had to buy another pack shortly after, at 3 November, 2012.I had hopes that I would get the quality of the first 2 packs but instead I got the same quality of the second pack that I had bought at 30 October... the price was the same 8.99£...I would really apprecciate that a bit more effort is put into the quality control of this brand of magnetic tape.As far as I'm concerned the current price of 8.99£ is a rip off.The quality of the tape is lower so either the price has to go down or, preferably, the quality of the tape is guaranteed to be the same or better than the first 2 packs I bought. It's critical for my application!Thank you

These rolls of magnetic tape are really great. Never knew such a thing existed but now that I do I have recommended to all my family best thing I have bought in a long while.

Not hugely magnetic, not hugely adhesive, and came in a taped together envelope as its only packaging. Not akin to the photograph at all. Wouldn't buy again.

Good stuff. Stronger than others.

Magnet ok but Adhesive not very good.

What I received isn't even the same product as the picture. It's rolls of what looks like magnetic tape with foam on the back that's adhesive. It's not 3M. Waste of time and money.
